UFC CEO Dana White is all ears when it comes to the idea of Robert Whittaker serving as a backup for an upcoming headliner in Perth. Whittaker flashed in the UFC’s debut in Saudi Arabia, knocking out Ikram Aliskerov in the first round. After rocking Aliskerov, the former UFC middleweight champion landed a clean uppercut and some follow-up punches to seal the deal. With the victory, Whittaker has ended the seven-fight winning streak of Aliskerov.

UFC CEO Dana White has reacted after Conor McGregor hinted that he plans to return to the Octagon in August or September. McGregor (22-6 MMA) was slated to return in the headliner of next weekend’s UFC 303 event for a welterweight bout with Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA). Unfortunately for fight fans, a broken toe suffered in training camp forced ‘Notorious’ to withdraw from the highly anticipated matchup.

UFC President Dana White has given Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson his stamp of approval for his upcoming movie. As some MMA fans are likely aware, the WWE wrestler is currently filming ‘The Smashing Machine’. Being directed by Benny Safdie of ‘Uncut Gems’ fame, ‘The Rock’ will portray UFC legend Mark Kerr. In the early 2000s, an HBO documentary followed the heavyweight’s rise, and then brutal decline in the sport.

According to Dana White, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones could be back as soon as this summer. ‘Bones’ hasn’t competed in well over a year. Last March at UFC 285, Jon Jones ended a lengthy hiatus by moving up to heavyweight to face Ciryl Gane. Fighting for the title that Francis Ngannou left vacant, he needed only one round to dispatch of ‘Bon Gamin’. Jones earned a first-round submission victory to win the gold.

According to Dana White, Michael Chandler isn’t ending his pursuit of former UFC champion Conor McGregor. ‘Iron’ has spent the better part of two years trying to get a fight with ‘The Notorious’. Following a knockout victory over Tony Ferguson in May 2022, Michael Chandler took to the live mic with a passionate callout of Conor McGregor. After a loss to Dustin Poirier later in the year, the Bellator champion got the news he was waiting for.

UFC CEO Dana White isn’t sure when Khamzat Chimaev will fight again after he was forced out of his UFC Saudi Arabia main event against Robert Whittaker. Chimaev was set to headline the card on Saturday against the former champ in a highly-anticipated bout. However, just over a week out from the fight, it was revealed that Chimaev was out of the bout after being violently ill and was replaced by Ikram Aliskerov.

UFC CEO Dana White has announced the new look UFC 303 fight card for International Fight Week on June 29, which sees Alex Pereira taking on Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight title. UFC 303 was scheduled to be headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler. However, that fight is off and now the new main event of the pay-per-view card will be Alex Pereira defending his light heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka, White announced on social media.

Dana White has given the reason as to why Khamzat Chimaev is out of his main event fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC Saudi Arabia. Chimaev was set to headline next Saturday’s card against Whittaker in a potential title eliminator bout at middleweight. It was a fight many fans were looking forward to, but on Thursday, it was revealed that Chimaev was out of the scrap and Ikram Aliskerov would be serve as his replacement.

Mark Hunt remains confident that his long legal battle with the UFC will sway in his favor. It’s no secret that Hunt has been going after the UFC and Brock Lesnar in court. Hunt was initially beaten by Lesnar via unanimous decision at UFC 200, but the result was changed to a No Contest after “The Beast” failed his drug test. Hunt ended up suing the UFC, Dana White, and Brock. The “Super Samoan” alleged the UFC conspired with Lesnar knowing the former heavyweight champion was on PEDs.

The first press conference promoting the upcoming June 29th pay-per-view event headlined by Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was scheduled to take place this past Monday in Dublin. Thousands of fans were expected to attend. While entry to the presser was going to be free, some were selling access to the festivities on the secondary market.
