There’s been a ton of speculation on whether or not Danis will show up to the fight. “El Jefe” recently trolled fans, claiming he was out of the fight before saying he was joking and that people take things too seriously. While Danis insists on showing up, McGregor thinks he should ditch the boxing and tear a limb.

Since then, he’s been in talks for a longshot fight with Conor McGregor, who has admitted that he would rather fight Nate Diaz instead.

McGregor had been adamant he would fight this year, as he’s coming back from his broken leg he sustained in July 2021 in the trilogy match against Dustin Poirier. Since then, he has been rehabbing the leg but also withdrew from the USADA testing pool, which means he needs six months of testing in order to return.

Danis is set to make his boxing debut on Oct. 14 against Logan Paul, and the Bellator fighter said he would work with his longtime teammate, McGregor. As a result, he suffered his second-straight loss to ‘The Diamond’, and was forced to spend over a year recovering.
