Jake Paul opens as betting favorite over Tyron Woodley in boxing match

Jake Paul is the betting favorite for his upcoming boxing match against Tyron Woodley. On Monday evening, it was reported by The Athletic that Paul and Woodley have agreed to face one another at a date TBD. The fight will be officially made Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. EST according to Paul, with them facing off in Miami on Friday.

Jake Paul has his next boxing fight booked and he will face a former UFC champion in Tyron Woodley. After Paul knocked out Ben Askren in April, several MMA fighters and celebrities had called out the brash YouTuber. Woodley was among those calling for the fight and now according to The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger the fight is agreed to for a date not yet known.

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather compared his upcoming exhibition bout against YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul to a “legalized bank robbery” Mayweather returns to the boxing ring this Saturday night when he takes on Paul in a high-profile exhibition match on Showtime PPV. The odds for this fight list Mayweather as a huge favorite to defeat Paul, which is no surprise given how much experience he has in boxing and all the success he’s had in the ring. Even though Paul is the younger and bigger fighter, the bookies and the majority of fans aren’t giving him much of a chance in the fight. In fact, Mayweather himself isn’t giving Paul much of a shot at beating him, either.

Lopez puts his lightweight belt on the line in June when he takes on George Kambosos Jr. With a 16-0 record as a professional boxer and coming off of an upset win over Vasyl Lomachenko, Lopez’s star has never been brighter. Ahead of his upcoming fight, Lopez was a guest on the “1, 2 with James and Kendrick” podcast and he was asked what he thinks about MMA fighters. Speaking to the hosts, Lopez was quick to point out that he’s a big fan of Masvidal, the UFC fighter who exploded into a true superstar over the last few years.

Floyd Mayweather is confident he will beat Logan Paul with ease on June 6. Mayweather is set to face the YouTuber turned boxer in Paul in an exhibition bout in Miami next Sunday. Entering the fight, the undefeated boxer is a massive -1300 favorite and he doesn’t have much of a strategy for the bout. Instead, he says when he wants the fight to end it will end.

Jake’s brother Logan Paul takes on Mayweather next month in an exhibition boxing match. Ahead of the big fight, Mayweather has been doing the rounds with his interviews to promote the fight, and this week he did one on the Clubhouse app. Paul found out that Mayweather was going to be on the hat and he decided to troll “Money” about it, bringing up the “gotcha hat” incident that recently took place at the pre-fight press conference.

We found out last week that UFC president Dana White shut down GSP vs. de la Hoya after not taking phone calls from Triller executive Ryan Kavanaugh. GSP himself confirmed that the fight was blocked and that he was upset because he wanted to have a fun fight with one of his idols in de la Hoya and then give most of the money to charity. But White refused to let St-Pierre out of his UFC contract to join the Triller Fight Club promotion.

Now, however, according to ESPN, Paul has agreed to a multi-fight deal with Showtime Boxing.

Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on August 14 is in jeopardy of not happening. On Sunday, Fury said his heavyweight unification fight was 100 percent official for August 14 in Saudi Arabia. However, on Monday, an arbitrator ruled Fury must face Deontay Wilder in a rematch by Sept. 15, ESPN learned.
