The latest fighter to call him out is former NFL player Greg Hardy. Hardy called Fury out shortly after the boxer was targeted by a top heavyweight in Francis Ngannou.

The two met at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in what was a huge fight streamed lived on DAZN.

Not longer after Brock Lesnar made quick work of former UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez at WWE Crown Jewel, another decorated combat sports champion took to the ring: lineal heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury. Fury was matched up with the hulking Braun Strowman, and despite taking some licks early, wound up winning in exciting fashion. The end came when he blasted Strowman out of the ring with a right hand and won via count out.

Over the last few years, undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has stepped into the boxing ring with mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor and kickboxing wunderkind Tenshin Nasukawa, stopping both. After answering calls to fight these other combat sports athletes, he’s now being called out by a figure from well outside the combat sports bubble: Chinese billionaire Jack Ma. Ma made his callout of Mayweather in a video posted to Manny Pacquiao’s Instagram account. Pacquiao, who has shared the ring with Mayweather before, also called for a fight with Mayweather.
Oscar De La Hoya sued for alleged sexual assault

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya is being sued for an alleged sexual assault & battery incident. TMZ Sports is reporting that a woman is filing the lawsuit under the alias of “Jane Doe” in order to protect her identity, with the timeline dating back to 2016 when she first met the former boxing champion. The incident in question, however, occurred in November 2017 when she was invited to De La Hoya’s then-new home in Pasadena, California.

UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley called out Canelo Alvarez on social media, telling the boxing superstar that he will knock him out if they fight in a boxing match. Woodley recently spoke to TMZ and expressed his interest in boxing Alvarez, widely considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world. On Friday, the former UFC welterweight champion took it a step further and hit up Alvarez on Twitter, telling him directly that he wants to fight him.

There, he took on former UFC fighter, Artem Lobov in the main event of BKFC 6. The fight was set to end the rivalry between the two. The two camps have not gotten along since the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather fight, when Malignaggi briefly worked as one of the Irishman’s training partners.
