For months now, Kamaru Usman and his manager Ali Abdelaziz have been talking up the possibility of a crossover superfight against boxing sensation Canelo Alvarez. The Mexican star is still considered by many to be one of the pound for pound best boxers on the planet but following his defeat to Dmitry Bivol last month, some have questioned whether or not he’s as invincible as many make him out to be.

The Mexican superstar signed a 3-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing last month for $160 million dollars. The first bout on that deal is a light-heavyweight showdown with Dmitry Bivol, while the second is a trilogy encounter with Gennadiy Golovkin. Over the last few months, Kamaru Usman is gunning to get a bout with Alvarez as well.

Watch a video as boxers Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant have a full conversation mid-fight during their recent boxing match in Las Vegas. Alvarez and Plant met in the main event of a high-profile Showtime boxing event this past Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although Plant put on a spirited performance, it was not enough as he eventually was stopped by Alvarez in the 11th round when he knocked him out. But for Plant, it was still an amazing experience to get to go 11 hard rounds with the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet.
