Cory Sandhagen reacts to backlash over UFC Nashville performance

Cory Sandhagen has given a response to those upset by his UFC Nashville performance. Sandhagen went one-on-one with Rob Font inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on August 5. Sandhagen was expecting to meet Umar Nurmagomedov, but Umar suffered an injury during training. When it was clear that Umar was out of the fight, Font got the call to fill in.

The Octagon returned to Tennessee for tonight’s UFC Nashville event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Cory Sandhagen vs. Rob Font. The highly anticipated catchweight main event did not result in the fire fight most fans were hoping for. Cory Sandhagen utilized his grappling skills to keep Rob Font pinned on the canvas for the majority of their twenty-five-minute affair. While it wasn’t the most exciting performance, it was a strong showing for ‘The Sandman’.
