UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya still has Dricus du Plessis on his radar. Adesanya is scheduled to put his 185-pound gold at stake against Sean Strickland at UFC 293 on September 9 in Sydney, Australia. The initial plan was to have Adesanya and du Plessis fight for the middleweight title following “Stillknocks'” second-round TKO finish over Robert Whittaker. Things didn’t pan out as Dricus du Plessis wasn’t going to be healed in time for UFC 293.

Marlon Vera is convinced that the UFC will book him in a title fight against Sean O’Malley. O’Malley has just one loss in his pro MMA career thus far. That defeat came against “Chito” Vera back in 2020 via first-round TKO. Since that fight, O’Malley has gone 5-0, 1 NC. Of course, the most recent win resulted in Sean O’Malley capturing the UFC Bantamweight Championship from Aljamain Sterling.

Featherweight contender Ilia Topuria and UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley have gotten into an exchange on social media. Following his second-round TKO victory over Aljamain Sterling to capture UFC gold, O’Malley said he’d consider challenging for the 145-pound title if Topuria fights and defeats reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. O’Malley has said that a bout against Volkanovski is out of the question.

Taylor, an MMA fighter turned boxer who competed under the Bellator banner, has made quite the claim on how UFC President Dana White treats black fighters. Taylor’s recent comments come after Sean O’Malley revealed what the UFC boss told him after he defeated Aljamain Sterling via TKO.

Sean O’Malley has a new face tattoo celebrating his first UFC championship victory. The “Sugar” show is the new UFC bantamweight titleholder. He defeated Aljamain Sterling via second-round TKO in the main event of UFC 292. After the big title win, O’Malley has added some fresh ink on his face.

Holloway (25-7 MMA) collided with Chan Sung Jung (17-8 MMA) in the headliner of today’s event in Singapore. The result was a third-round KO victory for ‘Blessed’ (see that here), with The Korean Zombie subsequently announcing his retirement.

Alex Caceres suffered a broken arm in the first round of his fight with Giga Chikadze at today’s UFC Singapore event. Caceres (21-14 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since scoring a unanimous decision victory over Daniel Pineda back in June of this year. That win had marked ‘Bruce Leeroy’s’ second in a row, as he had previously earned a first-round TKO victory over Julian Erosa in December of 2022.

The Octagon returned to Singapore for today’s UFC Fight Night event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Max Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie. The highly anticipated featherweight main event proved to be a thrilling slugfest for as long as it lasted. Max Holloway was able to hurt Chan Sung Jung on a number of occasions in the opening two rounds, but in classic Zombie fashion, the Korean stayed in the fight and kept on swinging. That was until early in round three when a perfectly timed right hand from ‘Blessed’ landed flush on the chin of ‘TKZ’ and put him away for good.

Ian Machado Garry doesn’t think having so many teammates in the welterweight rankings will make it challenging for him to get fights. Garry trains at Kill Cliff FC alongside the likes of Glbert Burns, Shavkat Rakhmonov, and Vicente Luque, as well as Kamaru Usman who trains there part-time. With that, some teammates never want to fight one another, but Garry doesn’t think that will be an issue.
