Alexander Volkanovski and Valentina Shevchenko are the latest to grace the cover of EA Sports UFC. Over the last few months, EA and the UFC have teased that their fifth entry was on the way. It makes sense, as it’s been over three years since their last release in August 2020. While fans wait for more details about the title, it seems that it’ll be one for the ages.

Death, taxes, and rumors of former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey returning to the UFC. ‘Rowdy’ is one of the company’s biggest-ever stars. Signed to the company as their first female athlete in late 2012, and it was off to the races from there. Ronda Rousey was named the first women’s bantamweight champion and quickly racked up wins over the likes of Meisha Tate and Liz Carmouche.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is unsure of his future after Stipe Miocic. ‘Bones’ is slated to return to the octagon in November at UFC 295 opposite the former champion. For Jon Jones, the fight will be the first title defense of his heavyweight championship reign. In March, he captured the vacant gold with a submission win over Ciryl Gane.

It was with the first punch he landed the fight that Volkan broke his hand which hindered his performance. Following the fight, he needed to get surgery as he had been dealing with a nagging hand injury for a while.

In the main event of UFC Singapore, a featherweight banger headlined the card as Max Holloway took on Korean Zombie. Holloway entered the fight coming off a decision win over Arnold Allen back in April to return to the win column after losing a one-sided decision to Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in July 2022. Korean Zombie, meanwhile, was ending his layoff as he last fought back in April 2022 when he suffered a TKO loss to Volkanovski for the featherweight title.

UFC Paris down to 10 bouts after two fight cancellations

UFC Paris is now down to a total of 10 fights. The Octagon is set for the second-ever event in France after MMA was legalized in the country in 2020, but due to the pandemic, the UFC wasn’t able to make their first stop in Paris until September of last year. In the debut event, Ciryl Gane beat Tai Tuivasa by knockout which got him the title fight against Jon Jones.

Ian Machado Garry has an idea for who will be standing across the Octagon from him in the main event of UFC Dublin. After Garry beat Neil Magny at UFC 292, he called out Stephen Thompson for a fight in November or December, which he believes will happen. Following that, the plan according to UFC president Dana White, is to bring the Octagon back to Ireland for UFC Dublin and have Garry as the main event.
