Allen (22-5 MMA) enters the contest sporting a five-fight winning streak, with four of those five victories coming by way of submission. In his most recent effort this past June, ‘All In’ scored a rear-naked choke finish over Bruno Silva.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 82 event is co-headlined by a welterweight matchup featuring Jake Matthews taking on Michael Morales. Matthews (19-7 MMA) most recently competed at July’s UFC 291 event, where he scored a second-round submission victory over Darrius Flowers. The 29-year-old Aussie has gone 3-2 over his past five fights overall, earning wins over Diego Sanchez and Andre Fialho during that stretch.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 82 main card features a lightweight bout between Chase Hooper and Jordan Leavitt. Hooper (13-3-1 MMA) returned to the 155lbs division earlier this year at May’s UFC Vegas 73 event, where he earned a unanimous decision victory over Nick Fiore. ‘The Dream’ has gone 4-3 inside of the Octagon since making his promotional debut in December of 2019.

Chad Anheliger wasn’t sure when he would be able to fight again. Anheliger suffered a shoulder injury during his loss to Alatengheili back at UFC 279 in September of 2022. After the loss, the Canadian knew he needed to get his shoulder healed which took a bit longer than expected.

In round 1, he floored the Russian to score a first-round TKO victory to earn the gold in stunning fashion.

Brendan Allen and Paul Craig had an intense final faceoff ahead of their UFC Vegas 82 main event fight. Allen enters the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, but in the lead-up, both have been oozing with confidence that they will finish one another. At the faceoff, Craig got right into Allen’s face, so the American told him to keep the same energy on fight night and not just be pulling guard which is a move Craig does often.

Strickland emerged as the new UFC middleweight champion.

She may have only made two appearances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Still, Julie Kedzie is certainly a pioneer in the world of mixed martial arts. She made her debut back in early 2004, going on to fight the likes of Shayna Baszler, Gina Carano, Miesha Tate, Germaine de Randamie and more.

Lance Spaude the manager of Sean Strickland at Iridium Sports says Khamzat Chimaev wasn’t discussed for the American’s first title defense. Strickland became the middleweight champion back in September with a decision win over Israel Adesanya. Since then, UFC CEO Dana White said that the winner of Khamzat Chiamev vs. Kamaru Usman in October would be next in line for Strickland’s title.
