Daniel Cormier has revealed Alex Pereira nearly pulled out of his UFC 307 return. ‘Poatan’ is fresh off his return to the cage in the main event of UFC 307 on Saturday. In the main event of the pay-per-view card, Alex Pereira faced fellow striker Khalil Rountree Jr. For the Brazilian, the fight was his third in 2024, previously defeating the likes of Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is ready to return to MMA. ‘The Chosen One’ hasn’t been active for quite a while. Following a submission loss to Vicente Luque in early 2021, Tyron Woodley was released from the UFC. The defeat was his fourth in a row in the cage, previously losing to the likes of Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns, and Kamaru Usman. Following his release, Woodley began feuding with Jake Paul.

Kayla Harrison didn’t have a great training camp heading into her UFC 307 return. Earlier this year, the former Olympian suddenly left the PFL, in favor of the UFC. In her April debut, Kayla Harrison absolutely battered former champion Holly Holm en route to a second-round stoppage win. With the victory, she was instantly a top-five fighter. For her second octagon appearance, Harrison was matched up with Ketlen Vieira.

UFC welterweight contender Michael ‘Venom’ Page will dip his toes into submission grappling when he faces former title challenger Carlos Condit at Polaris 30. Page and Condit will compete in a middleweight grappling match on November 2nd at Polaris 30, per promotional officials. This is Page’s submission grappling debut after appearances in MMA, bare-knuckle boxing, and kickboxing.

On Saturday, Pereira successfully defended the UFC light heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. In front of a raucous crowd in Salt Lake City, Pereira put on another signature performance and battered Rountree en route to a late TKO victory.

Kevin Holland has responded to an online troll following his UFC 307 loss to Roman Dolidze. Holland lost to Dolidze by first-round stoppage this past Saturday night as his corner stopped the fight in between the first and second rounds. Holland hurt his rib during a scramble in the opening frame and his coach decided the fight shouldn’t continue.

He had a competitive affair with crowd favorite Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Buckley was able to swarm his opponent and land body shots before knocking out Thompson with a punch upstairs.

While she may not have gotten the finish, the former PFL sensation did manage to carve out another solid win – likely setting herself up for a crack at the UFC women’s bantamweight championship in the process.

The Octagon returned to Salt Lake City for tonight’s UFC 307 event, a 12-bout fight card headlined by Alex Pereira vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. The highly anticipated light heavyweight title fight proved to be a thrilling back and forth affair. Khalil Rountree Jr. got off to a fast start in his first career title fight, arguably winning both of the first two rounds (at least on many analysts scorecards). However, Alex Pereira was able to turn the tide in his favor in round three and proceeded to batter ‘The War Horse’ throughout the course of round four. In the final seconds of the fourth frame, ‘Poatan’ landed a brutal body-head combination that put Rountree Jr. down for good.
