Patricio Pitbull shares harsh criticism of UFC 327 opponent Aaron Pico: ‘He usually doesn’t defend sh*t’

Patricio Pitbull doesn’t think too highly of Aaron Pico.

Pitbull is set to take on Pico at UFC 327 in what is a highly anticipated bout. This fight could have happened years ago for Pitbull’s Bellator title, but the two will throw down in the UFC, and Pitbull is excited for the matchup.

Pico is coming off a KO loss in his debut, and he has claimed he’s reinventing himself at UFC 327, which Pitbull isn’t buying.

“Usually when he gets knocked out, he comes back and he’s more of a grappler,” Pitbull said at UFC 327 media day. “I have to take into consideration what he’s saying and be ready for him to have reinvented himself. But at this point, he’s been knocked out what, four or five times?”

Although Aaron Pico claims he will be reinventing himself at UFC 327, Patricio Pitbull believes his striking defense will be an issue again. But if Pico does change himself, Pitbull is confident regardless of what version he brings.

“I’m ready for whatever kind of Aaron Pico shows up in there,” Pitbull said. “Maybe he’ll be more cautious because he got knocked out. Maybe he’s going to go in there and just want to brawl. I’m prepared for whatever version. … I hope he trained a lot of defense because he usually doesn’t defend sh*t.”

Although Pitbull has plenty of confidence in himself, he is a big underdog at UFC 327, but he isn’t paying any attention to that. Instead, Pitbull believes he will make a statement and prove he’s a true title contender at featherweight.

Patricio Pitbull (37-8) is coming off a decision win over Dan Ige back in July for his first UFC win. In his debut, he lost to Yair Rodriguez in his debut. He’s the former Bellator featherweight and lightweight champion.
