UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell promised he won’t stop Lamar Odom vs. Aaron Carter boxing match early, saying that “I’m gonna let ’em fight.” Liddell will be the special guest referee on June 11 when Odom meets Carter in a celebrity boxing match in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Speaking to TMZ Sports ahead of the matchup, Liddell promised the fans that he will let the former NBA star and the former pop singer fight and that he won’t stop the fight early as he belives the fans deserve a good fight.

Both men rarely threw and for Rozenstruik he says he was disappointed in his performance and is glad to be making a quick turnaround.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is predicting a KO over Anderson Silva in the pair’s upcoming boxing match, saying that “I feel I can knock him out.” Chavez Jr. takes on Silva in an eight-round boxing match on June 19 at Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. For Silva, it’s his return to the boxing ring for the first time since 2005 after he was released from the UFC following a knockout loss to Uriah Hall last fall. The UFC legend struggled in the last few years of his career in the Octagon and UFC president Dana White decided to give the 45-year-old Silva his release from the promotion. However, he is still adamant that he can fight and has made the move to the boxing ring.

California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster says MMA judging at the UFC level “is better now than it ever has been.” Foster is a former professional MMA fighter who has been in charge of the California State Athletic Commission since 2012. One of the biggest problems in MMA right now is the state of judging. It feels like every week we see a bad decision that impacts a fighters’ career, and for many fans, fighters, and media, it feels like we aren’t making any progress when it comes to scoring fights correctly. It’s led to many observers of the sports suggesting different ways to improve the way we judge fights in mixed martial arts.

The highly-anticipated Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley boxing match has been officially announced for August 28 and will air live on Showtime PPV. Paul and Woodley have been connected to a potential boxing match ever since Paul knocked out Woodley’s longtime friend and teammate Ben Askren in April. The two were able to strike a deal and they will meet on August 28 on Showtime. On Tuesday, Paul took to his social media to officially reveal the fight against Woodley, and talk some trash, too.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Shogun Rua says that he wants to fight two more times inside the Octagon before he hangs up his gloves. Shogun hasn’t fought since UFC 255 last November when he suffered a stoppage loss to Paul Craig. Following that defeat, UFC president Dana White hinted that the former PRIDE star had retired from MMA. But according to the Brazilian himself, he is not officially retired yet. In fact, the 39-year-old legend of the sport says that he still wants to fight twice more.

Diaz returns to the Octagon for the first time since UFC 244 in November 2019 when he takes on Edwards in a five-round, non-title fight at UFC 263. The event takes place on June 13 in Phoenix, Arizona. Ahead of his return to the cage, Diaz posted a photo on his social media of his physique, and he looks to be in absolutely phenomenal shape for the fight.

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is confident he will finish Brandon Moreno at UFC 263, saying “I’m going to knock this guy out.” Figueiredo and Moreno meet in a rematch at next weekend’s UFC 263 with 125lbs gold on the line. The two rivals previously met at UFC 256 in December, with the pair fighting to a majority draw after a low blow cost Figueiredo one point on the judges’ scorecards. The hope is that the two will now be able to settle their differences at UFC 263 and the winner of the fight will prove beyond a doubt they are the best active flyweight on the UFC roster.

In his second appearance, he took on short-notice replacement Julian Erosa. Early on, he had success but in the third round he lost by submission for his first career loss. Although it was disappointing, he says it was a good learning experience.

Ahead of his upcoming fight, Lopez was a guest on the “1, 2 with James and Kendrick” podcast and he was asked what he thinks about MMA fighters. Speaking to the hosts, Lopez was quick to point out that he’s a big fan of Masvidal, the UFC fighter who exploded into a true superstar over the last few years.
