Now, following the aforementioned KO loss to Rabadanov, nobody really knows what the next step will be for him.

As we look ahead to the next phase of his life, it’s not clear as to whether or not the 38-year-old will opt to return at some point in the future.

Fans were left with some disappointing news when UFC CEO Dana White revealed that Jones has decided to retire from pro MMA competition. The reveal didn’t come as a surprise to most fans and experts, and Jones appeared to be leaning more towards hanging up his gloves. With Jones out of the picture, Aspinall is now the recognized undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion.

During the faceoff between undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez and the No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer Crawford, there was some shoving. Alvarez pushed Crawford away, as “Bud” kept moving forward.

Khalil Rountree has responded to one UFC champion’s remark about his recent fight. Rountree shared top billing on the UFC Baku card with Jamahal Hill this past Saturday. Rountree’s calf kicks paid dividends throughout the fight. He was able to manage distance and his opponent couldn’t get much going on the feet. Rountree took home a unanimous decision victory, but one UFC titleholder is not impressed.

While the heavyweight division is now able to move forward, many fans can’t help but feel empty-handed with the way this all ended.

Most notably, he’s been able to pick up wins over top fighters like Jamahal Hill and Magomed Ankalaev, both of whom went on to become world champion at 205 pounds. Now, however, after a controversial no contest against Rodolfo Bellato, it’s not quite clear as to what his future looks like.

UFC star Ilia Topuria has revealed that he’d be willing to move to the welterweight division at some point in the future. Right now, Ilia Topuria is the next big thing in mixed martial arts. He is being promoted in that way and he’s carrying himself like an absolute superstar. After winning the UFC featherweight title, he was able to successfully defend it against Max Holloway. Now, we’re at a point where he is moving up to the lightweight division in order to try and become a two-division world champion.

After his title win, all signs pointed to a title defense against former lightweight champ and pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev, possibly in Australia toward the end of the year.
