UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier is still hopeful the UFC can salvage his fight against Tony Ferguson and book it later this year. Poirier was set to take on Ferguson in the co-main event of UFC 254 in what was essentially a No. 1 contender fight at 155lbs, as well as insurance just in case anything happened to headliners Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. However, UFC president Dana White announced the fight was off because Poirier “didn’t want” it.

UFC women’s bantamweight standout Jessica Rose-Clark says she only has $17.70 in her bank account following UFC Vegas 11. Rose-Clark had arguably her best performance in the Octagon yet as she dominated Sarah Alpar en route to a late third-round TKO win. However, the fight itself was involved in some controversy as referee Chris Tognoni botched the stoppage. UFC president Dana White later commented on it and said the system needs to be fixed.

UFC women’s strawweight standout Mackenzie Dern was among the four fighters who took home $50,000 bonuses following UFC Vegas 11. The UFC announced the traditional post-fight bonuses following UFC Vegas 11. With no “Fight of the Night” award handed out, the promotion gave out four $50,000 bonuses for “Performance of the Night.” They went to Dern, middleweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev, returning featherweight Damon Jackson, and bantamweight Randy Costa.

UFC welterweight contender Leon Edwards blasted “racist scumbag” Colby Covington following his TKO win over Tyron Woodley at UFC Vegas 11. Covington defeated Woodley via fifth-round stoppage in a lopsided beating in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 11 event. UFC welterweight contender Tyron Woodley issued a statement following his fifth-round TKO loss to Colby Covington at UFC Vegas 11. Woodley was dominated by Covington throughout the bout and was on his way to losing a clear unanimous decision. But early in the fifth round Woodley verbally submitted due to an apparent rib injury, handing Covington the TKO win.

UFC president Dana White criticized referee Chris Tognoni following the controversial Jessica Rose-Clark fight at UFC Vegas 11. Tognoni has been in charge of several controversial fights the last few months, including the recent light heavyweight bout between Mike Rodriguez and Ed Herman that saw Rodriguez robbed of a TKO win. A similar situation happened at UFC Vegas 11 during the women’s bantamweight bout between Rose-Clark and Sarah Alpar.

UFC president Dana White says he has to have a conversation with welterweight star Donald Cerrone after his fight at UFC Vegas 11. Cerrone toughed it out and fought to a draw against Niko Price in the co-main event of the evening. After getting dominated in the first round, the referee took a point from Price for an eye poke and so the round was scored 9-9. The second round was once again all Price and he won it 10-9, but Cerrone had a strong third round and won it 10-9. With the point deduction, the judges scored the fight as a majority draw.

Covington picked up a fifth-round TKO win over rival Tyron Woodley in the main event of UFC Vegas 11 to re-emerge as one of the top title contenders at 170lbs. With UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman taking on No. 1 contender Gilbert Burns next, Covington and Masvidal could make sense to fight each other for a future title shot.
