It’s an opportunity rarely given to a newcomer and it shows just how high the UFC is on Chandler.

Dana White says he is not a fan of Israel Adesanya dancing into the Octagon: "I don't love it"

Adam D Martin - September 18, 2020

UFC president Dana White says he is not a fan of UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya dancing his way into the Octagon. Adesanya has an elaborate dance routine as he makes his way into the Octagon, with his walkout at UFC 243 when he fought Robert Whittaker being the most memorable. Most UFC fighters just walk into the Octagon when it’s their time to fight, so Adesanya certainly stands out when he does his dance. While some fans and media think it’s fun, White is not a fan of what Adesanya does before he enters into the UFC cage.

UFC lightweight contender Tony Ferguson has officially been removed from UFC 254 after his proposed fight with Dustin Poirier fell through. Ferguson was set to fight Poirier in the co-main event of UFC 254. The fight would have likely been a No. 1 contender bout, with the winner of the fight taking on the victor of the main event between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champ Justin Gaethje. It was also extra insurance just in case anything happened to the main event fighters, as either Ferguson or Poirier could have filled in for the fight.

Just last year he was on a three-fight win streak against Al Iaquinta, Alexander Hernandez, and Mike Perry, but ever since then it’s been a tough go for “Cowboy.” Cerrone has lost his last four fights in a row against Anthony Pettis, Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, and Tony Ferguson, leading some to suggest he should retire.
