Tuivasa is set for the toughest test of his career as he will face Lewis in the co-main event of UFC 271. It’s a very intriguing matchup between two knockout artists and fan-favorites and should Tuivasa get his hand raised, he says he wants to drink a beer out of Lewis’ cup instead of a shoe. Lewis, of course, infamously threw his cup to a fan after his KO win over Chris Daukaus in December.

The UFC has officially undergone a roster purge. The promotion parted ways with another nine fighters today. The Twitter account “UFCRosterWatch” reported that nine fighters were officially removed from the UFC website, and removed from the UFC fan rankings. Whenever that happens, that generally means that the athletes were released from the promotion or did not have their contracts renewed.

Including her fights on The Ultimate Fighter, this will be Modafferi’s 50th career fight which is a milestone she wanted to reach. Modafferi has been a pro since 2003 and has fought the who’s who of women’s MMA while competing in countless organizations. However, she says the time is right for her to retire.
