Dana White has two bookings in mind that he wants to get done in 2022. White has always said he only books fights the fans want to see and before UFC London he was asked which fight he wants to get done in 2022. For the UFC boss, he couldn’t think of just one and he gave two answers with one being surprising.

Dan Hooker has given his prediction for next month’s Alexander Volkanovski vs. Chan Sung Jung title bout. The UFC featherweight believes that his teammate will win the fight in highlight-reel fashion. ‘The Hangman’ is set to return to featherweight this weekend against Arnold Allen. The bout will be the first at 145-pounds for Hooker since 2017. Following a loss to Jason Knight, he decided to move up to lightweight where he became one of the best 155-pound fighters on the planet. However, he’s since decided to move back following a loss to Islam Makhachev last year.

Petr Yan says Sean O’Malley will be his corner at UFC 273. Recently, it was reported by Russian outlet, TASS that Yan’s corner’s visas were denied by the U.S. government. With that, Yan took to social media to ask Henry Cejudo if he would corner him for his bantamweight title fight rematch against Alajmain Sterling.

Dana White has given his thoughts on the proposed Kamaru Usman vs. Canelo Alvarez boxing match. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has been discussing a possible fight against the boxer over the past year. While the bout was first dismissed by Alvarez, he recently opined that the bout could happen if it makes sense. While he’s currently booked against Dmitry Bivol and Gennadiy Golovkin, Usman is hoping he can get slotted in this year as well.

Colby Covington is going to be getting a belt this weekend as a reward for defeating Jorge Masvidal and it’s going to be BIG. At least that’s according to ‘Chaos’. UFC 272 featured Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal in the welterweight main event on March 5th, 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It was to be Covington (17-3 MMA) defeating Masvidal (35-16 MMA) by unanimous decision with scores of 49-46, 50-44 and 50-45.

Back at UFC 263 last summer, Paul Craig recorded one of the nastiest submissions in recent memory when he dislocated the elbow of Jamahal Hill and pulled off a tremendous TKO upset win. The victory took his current unbeaten streak up to five and served as the only loss, to date, on the professional record of Hill.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has reacted to reports that Petr Yan’s team have seen their visa requests denied. Next month at UFC 273, Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan will look to finally settle the score in their rivalry when they meet for the UFC bantamweight title. Their encounter will serve as a rematch from their UFC 259 bout which, infamously, ended in a disqualification win for Sterling that saw him capture the belt.

Kevin Holland doesn’t seem to be a fan of Brendan Allen’s comments about a Houston shooting. Earlier this week, the UFC welterweight was at a restaurant in Texas when gunfire erupted. Holland, alongside two other men, quickly subdued the man and halted the active shooting. According to reports, the fighter saw two men struggling when he went up behind the shooter and choked him out. He then stayed at the scene until police arrived.

Marcin Tybura is on standby as he will serve as the backup fighter for the UFC London main event between Alexander Volkov and Tom Aspinall. After Russia invaded Ukraine, UFC president, Dana White said the UFC London main event was up in the air as he wasn’t sure if Volkov could enter the country. Although Volkov is now in the country, the next hurdle is having him actually fight. Some Russian athletes have been banned from other major sports competitions by other countries.

Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza are finally set to run it back. According to Sports Illustrated, Namjunas and Esparza have agreed to fight one another in the co-main event of UFC 274 on May 7 in Phoenix, Arizona. The event will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje.

Canelo Alvarez’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he’s open to working with Kamaru Usman and the UFC. The Mexican superstar signed a 3-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing last month for $160 million dollars. The first bout on that deal is a light-heavyweight showdown with Dmitry Bivol, while the second is a trilogy encounter with Gennadiy Golovkin. Over the last few months, Kamaru Usman is gunning to get a bout with Alvarez as well.

Renato Moicano is looking to return a lot sooner than many expected. Moicano stepped up on short notice to fight Rafael dos Anjos in a five-round fight at UFC 272, but wound up losing a lopsided decision. Renato suffered a ton of damage during the contest, with many viewers thinking the fight could’ve been stopped, but the Brazilian says he’s looking to return this summer and hopes it will be in a main event.

Demetrious Johnson has revealed the three UFC fighters he believes could possibly beat his title defense record. ‘Mighty Mouse’ held the UFC’s flyweight crown from 2012 to 2018. Along the way, he racked up a record-breaking 11 title defenses over names such as Henry Cejudo, Joseph Benavidez, and Kyoji Horiguchi. His title reign was eventually broken by the aforementioned ‘Triple C’ at UFC 227.
