AJ McKee has known it would be him and Patricio Pitbull in the finals of the featherweight grand prix. McKee made quick work of Georgi Karakhanyan and then submitted Derek Camps and Darrion Caldwell to reach the finals. Pitbull, meanwhile, beat Juan Archuleta and then KO’d Pedro Carvalho and submitted Emmanuel Sanchez to reach the finals.

Entering the highly-anticipated fight, many were interested to see how Paul would fare against a legit combat sports athlete. The full cast and the premiere date have officially been revealed for the 29th season of The Ultimate Fighter reality television show. UFC president Dana White has teased for months now that TUF would be returning now that the world’s leading MMA promotion has a deal with ESPN. Up to this point, we haven’t heard many details about the 29th season of the show, except that it would feature bantamweights and middleweights. Recently, we found out that the coaches would be UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and top contender Brian Ortega.

UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori sent a message to divisional champion Israel Adesanya, telling him that he can’t hide forever. Vettori is coming off of a one-sided beating over Kevin Holland at UFC Vegas 23, and immediately after the fight was over, he made it clear that he’s targeting a rematch with Adesanya, the man who defeated him via split decision in 2018. To this date, this was the closest fight that the champ has had at 185lbs, and Vettori makes sure to let him know that on a daily basis. While it seems like Adesanya will be fighting Robert Whittaker next in another rematch, Vettori is still remaining optimistic that he will be the next man in line.

UFC middleweight contender Robert Whittaker issued a statement following his unanimous decision win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Vegas 24. In one of his most complete performances to date, Whittaker won a lopsided unanimous decision in the main event of this past Saturday’s UFC Vegas 24 card. Whittaker outstruck Gastelum on the feet and he also utilized his wrestling in order to mix things up and take Gastelum out of his element. It was one of Whittaker’s best performances in the Octagon to date as he picked up his third straight victory. It was the kind of win that could earn him a title shot rematch against UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in his next fight.

UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley exchanged words with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and his team moments before the Ben Askren fight. Woodley was in the corner of Ben Askren, his longtime friend, and training partner before Paul fought him in Atlanta on Saturday night. Of course, the fight did not last very long as Paul managed to land a clean right hand that dropped Askren in the first round, leading to the ref stopping the fight. It was another easy win for Paul and now there are a number of fighters who are trying to step into the boxing ring with him his next time out, including Woodley himself. There have been several suggestions that “The Chosen One” could fight Paul next, especially if the UFC fully releases him from his contract as is expected.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has opened up as a big favorite for a potential rematch against No. 1 contender Robert Whittaker. Whittaker defeated Kelvin Gastelum at this past Saturday’s UFC Vegas 24 event in dominant fashion. The Aussie used a combination of grappling and striking to outpoint Gastelum for 25 minutes and take home the decision. Prior to beating Gastelum, Whittaker had won decisions over Jared Cannonier and Darren Till, so he is currently riding a three-fight win streak and that could possibly be enough for him to get another title shot at 185.

In the pairs first encounter, ‘The Stockton Native’ weathered an early storm from the Irishman before turning tide and putting Conor away with a rear-naked choke in round two.

UFC welterweight fan favorite Mike Perry admitted that Jake Paul caught him with some good shots when they recently had a sparring session. On Sunday, UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier took to his social media to say that he hoped that Paul would fight Perry next. Paul then responded to Poirier as he posted a video of him and Perry doing some sparring, with “Platinum” being heard telling Jake that he kicked his ass during their session. The two have done some sparring in preparation for this fight but typically, you don’t tell the public what happened in those sparring sessions. In this case, Paul posted the video with the words coming out of Perry’s mouth, so it was hard for “Platinum” to deny that it happened. Instead, Perry embraced what Paul had tweeted.

Paul and Askren met in the main event of the Triller Fight Club PPV on Saturday night in what was one of the most highly-anticipated fights of the year in all of the combat sports. Even if you aren’t a fan of Paul or Askren, you were probably watching the fight just to see someone get knocked out. It seemed like there was a massive interest in the fight leading up to it and now we know that it did really well at the box office, according to Paul.

Edmen Shahbazyan has opened up on his first career loss to Derek Burnson last August. At UFC Vegas 5, Shahbazyan and Brunson were promoted to the main event and were set to fight five rounds. Entering the scrap, many expected Shahbazyan to get an early KO, and so too did the rising star. However, after the first round, he began to gas out and suffered a third-round TKO loss.

Even though Paul doesn’t get a ton of respect from the combat sports community, everyone knows that he is a huge name and a big draw. At this point, Paul is one of the biggest stars in combat sports just three fights into his boxing career. If you are lucky enough to get booked to fight against Paul, then you stand to make a lot of money.

Watch UFC commentator Daniel Cormier posted his live reaction to Jake Paul knocking out former UFC fighter Ben Askren on Saturday night. Askren made his professional boxing debut on Saturday night when he took on Paul in the main event of the latest Triller Fight Club pay-per-view. The fight ended quickly in the first round as Paul caught Askren with a big right hand and put him on the canvas. It was a highlight-reel finish, for sure, and also one of those fights where everyone had their own reaction to seeing Askren go down.

During an episode of “Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson,” White said that he would bet one million dollars that Paul couldn’t knock out Askren. Well, he did just that on Saturday night during their Triller Fight Club boxing match, searching the former Bellator welterweight champion and former UFC star in the first round with a gigantic right hand. It was yet another highlight-reel knockout victory by Paul, and he made sure to let White know just that.
