UFC bantamweight contender Rob Font wants a former champion upon his return. The bantamweight has been out of the cage since his clash with Adrian Yanez at UFC 287 earlier this month. Heading into the contest, Font was riding a two-fight losing streak, having been defeated by Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera in recent octagon appearances. However, he ended his losing streak with a statement victory earlier this month.

Karl Roberson, a 10-fight UFC veteran, has been charged in connection to a robbery in New Jersey. According to a press release from the Howell Township Police Department, Roberson was one of two men arrested following an investigation into a residential burglary. The report says Roberson and Dathan Thompson allegedly pried open a rear door and once inside, made their way to the master bedroom where they allegedly located and stole over $200,000 in exotic jewelry and valuables.

Michael Bisping believes an extreme weight cut played a part in Alex Pereira’s knockout loss to Israel Adesanya. Former UFC middleweight champion Pereira (7-2 MMA) announced that he would be moving up to 205 pounds after suffering a loss and in the process losing his belt to Israel Adesanya (23-2 MMA) by knockout at UFC 287, which took place earlier this month.

UFC President Dana White believes if Arnold Allen had stepped on the gas sooner in his UFC Kansas City headliner with Max Holloway, he may have been able to pull off the biggest win of his pro MMA career. Allen was in a big spot sharing the Octagon with “Blessed,” a surefire future UFC Hall of Famer. Allen had success in the fight down the stretch, but it was too little too late, as Holloway was able to do enough to avoid losing two straight bouts. Holloway won the bout via unanimous decision.

UFC President Dana White was feeling the emotion from the big double retirement following the UFC Kansas City scrap between Zak Cummings and Ed Herman. Cummings and Herman collided on the preliminary portion of UFC Kansas City inside the T-Mobile Center. Going into the fight, Zak Cummings admitted that there was a good chance he’d hang up his gloves regardless of the result. Cummings ended up nabbing a unanimous decision victory and he made an emotional retirement speech.

Billy Quarantillo was hoping to produce a highlight reel KO over Edson Barboza, but he ultimately was the one who was on the receiving end. Quarantillo and Barboza crossed paths in the co-main event of UFC Kansas City last night (April 15). Quarantillo was hoping to score a big win over Edson Barboza, but it wasn’t meant to be. In the opening frame, Barboza caught Quarantillo with a knee to the jaw and that’s all she wrote.

Jones recently got fight fans buzzing on social media when he teased having a retirement fight against Miocic inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. Following a UFC Fight Night event in Kansas City, White confirmed to reporters that MSG is the planned venue for Jones vs. Miocic, but it’s not a lock (h/t MMAJunkie).

Despite a strong showing from Allen, Holloway proved to be just a step ahead on the feet. “Blessed” nabbed a unanimous decision victory, snapping Arnold’s 12-fight winning streak.

UFC President Dana White was none too pleased about Clay Guida faking his retirement following a unanimous decision loss to Rafa Garcia. Guida hung in tough during his UFC Kansas City showdown with Garcia. Ultimately, “The Carpenter” was being timed with ease and had no answer for his opponent’s jab. Garcia earned the unanimous decision victory and after the fight, Guida took off his gloves, suggesting that he was ready to announce his retirement. Even Garcia appeared to be emotional as he showed respect to Guida.

Arnold Allen took to social media shortly following his unanimous decision loss to Max Holloway in tonight’s UFC Kansas City main event. Allen (19-2 MMA) had entered tonight’s headliner sporting a twelve-fight winning streak, his most recent being a TKO victory over Calvin Kattar last October. ‘All Mighty’ came into the contest with only one blemish on his professional record, which had occurred way back in 2014 before he entered the UFC ranks.

Tonight’s highly anticipated featherweight main event proved to be a competitive back and forth contest. While Arnold Allen definitely proved he is a future contender in the division, Max Holloway put a stamp on his #2 ranking with a solid showing. ‘Blessed’ utilized a heavy volume of strikes to outpoint the Brit for the majority of their twenty-five-minute affair.
