Then, not so long ago, he opted to test the waters in bare-knuckle boxing.

BKFC president David Feldman was all smiles following BKFC 41 thanks to Conor McGregor’s appearance. McGregor was in attendance and shouted advice to both Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes during their five-round slugfest. To top it off, McGregor got inside the ring at the end of the night and had a staredown with Mike Perry. The two exchanged pleasantries and McGregor teased a possible fight under bare knuckle rules.

Chael Sonnen believes that Chad Mendes “out-brawled” Eddie Alvarez despite suffering a split decision loss at BKFC 41. Mendes and Alvarez had a five-round barn burner inside the 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado. As mentioned, Alvarez ultimately had his hand raised.

Luke Rockhold was quick to speak out following his TKO loss to Mike Perry at BKFC 41. Rockhold made his bare knuckle boxing debut against Perry. In the second round, Rockhold felt something was off and he brought the state of his jaw to referee Dan Miragliotta’s attention. The fight was waved off and Perry’s bare knuckle boxing record improved to 3-0. This is Perry’s first stoppage win in bare knuckle boxing.

Former UFC titleholders Rafael dos Anjos and Cody Garbrandt have their next fights booked for the summer. Rafael dos Anjos vs. Vicente Luque For former UFC Lightweight Champion dos Anjos, he is set to collide with number 10 ranked UFC welterweight Vicente Luque on July 15, MMAFighting.com reports. The fight will headline the card, which will take place one week after UFC 290. The card is expected to be held in Las Vegas.

Jorge Masvidal is defending Nate Diaz after the Stockton native was seen on video choking out a man who is allegedly a TikTok star. Diaz was charged with second-degree battery following a brawl on Bourbon Street. The former UFC star attended the Misfits Boxing 6 event, which was held inside the XULA Convocation Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 21. Diaz was the center of attention despite not competing on the card, as he threw a water bottle at reality TV star Chase DeMoor.

Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes were both aware that Conor McGregor was in the crowd shouting advice during their BKFC 41 clash. Alvarez and Mendes, both former opponents of McGregor, went one-on-one inside 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado. The well-known MMA veterans were competing under bare knuckle rules. This one had its share of knockdowns, much to the delight of the crowd. The bout went the distance and Alvarez earned the split nod in a barn burner.
