In the pay-per-view main event, Sterling scored a split-decision victory over the former champion to retain his title.

Following the loss, the YouTuber announced his plans to activate his rematch clause with ‘TNT’. However, he seemingly changed his mind and opted for a fight with Nate Diaz.

Nate Diaz claims Khabib Nurmagomedov avoided a rematch with Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov and McGregor fought in the main event of UFC 229. It was the Irishman’s return to MMA after boxing Floyd Mayweather, while Khabib was looking to defend his 155lbs title for the first time. The build-up was full of trash talk and in the fight, it was Nurmagomedov who won by fourth-round submission.

The history between arguably the two greatest featherweights in UFC history dates back to 2019, when Volkanovski first attained the title at UFC 254, snapping Holloway’s fourteen-fight unbeaten streak at 145lbs. Since then, the pair have met a further twice, with the Australian edging a split decision at UFC 251 and then putting on a clinic at UFC 276 to go (3-0) over the former champ.

One of those fighters is former UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell.

Five months after his UFC exit, “The Predator” signed with the PFL. With the deal, Ngannou’s first opponent under the PFL banner is expected to earn $2 million.

He says when he heard Pereira was moving up, he wanted to be the first to welcome the Brazilian to 205lbs as he likes the style matchup, and he expects to send Pereira back down to middleweight.

In the main event earlier this month, Sterling scored a split-decision win over Henry Cejudo to retain the bantamweight gold. In the process, he set the record for most title defenses in the division’s history with three.

Furthermore, the two will battle for the promotion’s ceremonial ‘BMF’ championship. The title was last put on the line in 2019 when Jorge Masvidal defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 244 to claim the gold.
