Still, he’s confident his student has the tools to overcome the current bantamweight kingpin. O’Malley has risen the ranks to earn an opportunity to catapult his career into further stardom when he meets with Sterling for the bantamweight strap. UFC President Dana White announced the fight will take place at UFC 292 in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 19 at UFC 292.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones believes boxing’s heavyweight king Tyson Fury did an about-face. Fury, the reigning WBC and The Ring Heavyweight Champion, took to his Instagram Stories to fire shots at UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. Fury was quite upset with Rogan for saying that Jones would get the better of him if they were locked in a room. “The Gypsy King” was adamant that no man alive would make it out of that room if he had anything to say about it.

The UFC Vegas 73 weigh-ins are in the books and two fighters failed to make weight. The main event of tomorrow’s UFC Apex card will feature strawweight action between Mackenzie Dern and Angela Hill. Both fighters tipped the scales and were on point with their weight. Dern clocked in at 115 pounds, while Hill’s weight was 114.5, making their headliner official.

Whichever way you look at it, Francis Ngannou will be making a lot of money.

Rogan recently told comedian Andrew Schultz that if Fury and UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones were fighting in a room, there’s no way “The Gypsy King” would stand a chance of making it out of that room. Rogan said Fury’s only realistic opportunity would be to catch Jones with one punch, and he doesn’t believe that would happen.
