Chael Sonnen reaches plea agreement in alleged hotel assault case

MMA analyst and former fighter Chael Sonnen has reached a plea agreement in his alleged hotel assault case. Back in December 2021, Chael Sonnen was accused of attacking Christopher and Julie Stellpflug without provocation – before striking two security guards – in a Four Seasons hotel in Las Vegas.

Dan Hooker has confirmed that he’d be interested in the idea of fighting for the BMF title. Last weekend at UFC 290, Dan Hooker did what he does best – he put on a show. He went to war with Jalin Turner, coming away with the split decision victory. He also, though, came out with a broken orbital bone and a broken arm, meaning we’re unlikely to see him compete for quite some time.

Boxing legend Teddy Atlas has made a pretty interesting observation regarding the UFC 290 battle between Dan Hooker and Jalin Turner. Last weekend, Dan Hooker and Jalin Turner went to war. They put on a show for the ages in a moment that all of us watching will never forget. In the end, even with a broken arm and orbital bone, Hooker was able to edge out the split decision win.

Holly Holm is open to the idea of rematching Ronda Rousey. Recently, it was revealed Rousey has informed the WWE of her hard out as rumors began to swirl of her return to MMA and the UFC. As of right now, Rousey nor Dana White have confirmed or denied the rumors, but Holly Holm doubts the former champ actually fights again.

It was just this past Saturday that Featherweight Champion, Alexander Volkanovski, recorded his 5th successful title defence. It was Volkanovski (26-2 MMA) vs Yair Rodriguez (16-4 MMA) at UFC 290 where ‘The Great’ defeated ‘El Pantera’ via TKO at 4:19 of round 3.

Holly Holm believes she will be one-half of a vacant women’s bantamweight title fight. After Amanda Nunes dominated Irene Aldana over all five rounds back at UFC 289, she announced her retirement from MMA and vacated her titles. Immediately, many wondered who would be fighting for the vacant bantamweight title and Holm believes if she wins at UFC Vegas 77, she will be one-half of that title fight.

Bo Nickal expects that he and Dricus Du Plessis will fight in the future. At UFC 290, Nickal and Du Plessis both picked up big wins. However, Nickal is just 2-0 in the UFC and Du Plessis is set to fight for the belt next, so they are far apart in the rankings. Despite that, Bo Nickal says he was watching Dricus Du Plessis vs. Robert Whittaker closely as he thinks he will face the South African in the future and calls the fight “easy money”.
Jimmy Crute announces he is "stepping away" from MMA until he has a "healthy and sustainable mindset"

Jimmy Crute will be stepping away from MMA. At UFC 290, Crute suffered a submission loss to Alonzo Menifield after the two fought to a draw back in February. It was a tough loss for Crute and after the defeat, he took his gloves and laid them down in the center of the Octagon. However, his team later revealed Jimmy Crute isn’t actually retired.
