The bout frankly came out of nowhere for fans, and even Steve Erceg himself. However, after earning three wins inside the octagon, the Australian got the chance to face Alexandre Pantoja in Brazil.

Just minutes into that bout with ‘The Funk Master’, the former champion had his shoulder dislocated.

UFC 1 fighter and longtime boxer Art Jimmerson has passed away at the age of 60. Jimmerson (0-1 MMA) is well known for kicking off UFC 1 opposite jiu-jitsu phenom Royce Gracie (15-2 MMA) in November of 1993 and became the first person in UFC history to lose by submission after tapping out to the Brazilian at 2:18 of Round 1. It was to be a very short career in the UFC.
