It seems that Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader is getting involved in show business. ‘Darth’ has been out of action since a clash with PFL heavyweight tournament winner Renan Ferreira in February. The two heavyweights headlined the PFL vs. Bellator event in Saudi Arabia, and it didn’t go well for Ryan Bader. Just seconds into the contest, ‘Problema’ scored a knockdown and quickly stopped the champion.

The bout was Jose Aldo’s first since retiring in the summer of 2022. After a loss to Merab Dvalishvili, the former champion decided to venture into the sport of boxing, with the blessing of Dana White and other company brass.

Sadly for the former interim champion, he was soundly defeated by Leon Edwards. Colby Covington suffered a unanimous decision defeat to ‘Rocky’ late last year, but he didn’t have plans on retiring.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski has booked his 42nd Octagon appearance for UFC 303. Arlovski (34-23 MMA) made his promotional debut way back in November of 2000 at UFC 28. It was in 2005 that Arlovski earned the title of UFC heavyweight champion by defeating Tim Sylvia (31-10 MMA) at UFC 51.

UFC CEO Dana White was quite pleased with UFC St. Louis overall, but there’s one fight that stood out in his mind, and not in a good way. Waldo Cortes-Acosta derailed the hype train of former Olympian Robelis Despaigne on the opening main card fight of UFC St. Louis. Cortes-Acosta was in control throughout the fight and earned a unanimous decision victory. While it was a one-sided showing, Dana wasn’t impressed in the slightest following Cortes-Acosta’s efforts.
