UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has given an update on his first title defense. Topuria won the featherweight title back in February with a knockout win over Alexander Volkanovski. The Georgian-Spaniard still doesn’t have his first title defense set despite Max Holloway being the No. 1 contender. However, Topuria says Holloway may not be available so he isn’t sure who he would fight.

UFC officially releases Travis Browne from his contract, despite not fighting since 2017

Travis Browne is officially no longer a UFC fighter. Browne fought in the UFC from 2010 until 2017 and while USADA was administering drug tests, his name frequently came up as one of the more popular fighters who got drug tested, despite not being active. After his last bout in 2017, White had said that it would be his last fight, and that has proved been the case.

Pereira announced in a since-deleted social media post that he and Hernandez will feature on the UFC’s upcoming Las Vegas Sphere card on September 14th. MMA journalist Laerte Viana later confirmed the targeted booking after Pereira deleted his announcement.
