Conor McGregor claims a new fight date for a showdown with Michael Chandler has been discussed. McGregor and Chandler were set to collide in the main event of UFC 303 in Las Vegas at the end of June. That didn’t happen, as McGregor pulled out of the fight due to a toe injury. A light heavyweight championship rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka ended up taking its place.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier doesn’t think Dustin Poirier is ready to walk away from pro MMA competition, and he’d advise him to take another fight with Conor McGregor if he can. Poirier’s hopes of becoming an undisputed UFC champion were crushed at the conclusion of UFC 302. Despite providing a worthy challenge for UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev, “The Diamond” was ultimately submitted in the fifth round.

Most notably, he’s been able to become the biggest star in bare-knuckle boxing by some distance.

As we know, Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya have had quite the rivalry over the years. A video was released of Tracy Cortez deciding to chop off her hair ahead of her UFC Denver main event. Cortez stepped up on short notice to face Rose Namajunas, but on Friday, she originally tipped the scales at 126.5lbs, just 0.5lbs over the 126lbs limit. She had an additional hour to try and make weight, but Cortez decided the easier way was to cut her hair, and she told her manager Tiki Ghosn to cut her hair.

Sean O’Malley has scooped up the 2024 ESPY award for Best UFC Fighter. O’Malley had some stiff competition this year from the likes of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira, UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev, and UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili. The “Suga” show now joins legendary names such as Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, and Demetrious Johnson for MMA fighters who have taken home ESPY awards.

A heavyweight rematch between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov is reportedly in the works for UFC 308. Ag Fight was the first to report the news. MMAFighting.com later followed up, confirming that Gane vs. Volkov 2 has been agreed to, but contracts haven’t been signed just yet.
