Current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wants an apology from the Nevada State Athletic Commission before he will accept a proposed March fight in Las Vegas. ‘The Eagle’ was fined $500,000 by the NSAC and received a nine-month suspension for his infamous post-fight actions at UFC 229. For those who don’t remember, Nurmagomedov proceeded to leap out of the Octagon cage following his submission victory over Conor McGregor, this in order to attack the Irishman’s teammate Dillon Danis.

Undefeated light heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes (12-0 MMA) has received his wish and will get the opportunity to challenge Jon Jones for the divisions coveted title. ‘Bones’ took to Twitter earlier this week where he revealed that after reviewing footage of both Corey Anderson and Dominick Reyes with his coaches, his team had concluded that ‘The Devastator’ was the more dangerous opponent and would thus receive the next crack at his title.

Speaking with reporters during a press conference in Moscow Friday ahead of the UFC Fight Night event there this Saturday, Nurmagomedov revealed that he is planning on returning to the Octagon in April. He wants to fight in Las Vegas, but will only do so if the Nevada State Athletic Commission apologizes to him for what happened at UFC 229. Otherwise, he expects to fight in New York.

Michael Bisping isn’t a fan of how Nate Diaz has handled his UFC 244 defeat. Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal ended in anti-climatic fashion for some. The two headlined UFC 244 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. UFC light heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes looks like he’s next in line for a title shot against UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who he calls a ‘troll.’ Speaking to MMAFighting.com’s Damon Martin, Reyes spoke about a potential title matchup against Jones, which has gained traction lately after Jones said he believes Reyes is a more intriguing matchup than Corey Anderson for his next title defense. Jones has seemingly agreed to the fight, but until he gets his bout agreement Reyes isn’t buying it.
