Condit and Brown are two of the most exciting welterweights of the past decade and this dream fight has been one that the UFC has tried to book twice in the past, both times unsuccessfully. The fight was booked in both 2013 and 2018, with the bout falling off each time. The promotion then booked this fight for the third time, and it’s set to take place as the co-main event of this Saturday’s UFC on ABC 1 event. The hope is that with the fight just a few days away, fans will finally get to see this fight.

UFC welterweight veteran Matt Brown called out Carlos Condit following his win over Court McGee at UFC Fight Island 4 and Condit responded. Condit snapped a five-fight losing skid with a unanimous decision win over McGee on Saturday night. After suffering through the worst losing stretch of his legendary MMA career, Condit turned back the clock with a fantastic performance against McGee that saw him outstrike his opponent and get back into the win column for the first time since 2015.

UFC welterweight Matt Brown has reacted following his second-round KO loss to Miguel Baeza on the preliminary card at UFC Florida. After a back-and-forth first round where Brown had Baeza hurt badly at several points, the younger Baeza was able to land a big punch in the second that knocked the veteran Brown to the floor, where Baeza finished him off with strikes for the biggest win of his career. Baeza ended up earning a well-deserved $50,000 bonus for “Performance of the Night” for the most impressive victory in his career so far.

Fan favorite Matt Brown returned to the Octagon at tonight’s UFC on ESPN 8 in Jacksonville for a welterweight bout with Miguel Baeza. Brown (22-16 MMA) entered tonight’s fight looking to build off the momentum of his knockout victory over Ben Saunders which occurred at December’s UFC 245 event. That win had marked Brown’s second in a row, as he had previously defeated Diego Sanchez by way of knockout in November of 2017.

Even with that, ‘The Immortal’ doesn’t really reflect on who he has fought in his career, because for him, it is just a fight no matter who the opponent is.
