Georges St-Pierre believes Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou are both scared to fight each other

A potential fight between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones has everyone excited these days. Including Georges St-Pierre who sees both fighters experiencing fear after talk of Jones being the “scared” one out of the two. Immediately after Ngannou was crowned as the new UFC heavyweight champion of the world at UFC 260 on March 27, UFC President Dana White planted a seed in the post-fight press conference. Teasing the possibility of Jones being scared to fight a guy as impressive as Ngannou has become. St-Pierre recently countered that sentiment.

UFC superstar Jon Jones posted new photos of himself in his heavyweight form, and he looks absolutely massive ahead of his potential return. After dropping the UFC light heavyweight title last summer, Jones has spent the better part of the last year bulking up for his UFC heavyweight debut. The original plan was for Jones to take on the winner of Francis Ngannou vs. Stipe Miocic, which Ngannou ended up winning when he brutally knocked the former champion out at UFC 260. However, Jones and the UFC are now embroiled in a very public financial dispute relating to how much money “Bones” will get to fight Ngannou. At this point, we have no idea if the UFC and Jones will be able to come to a deal, as the two sides appear to be very far apart in money.

Though Johnson is now fighting overseas for ONE Championship, Jones continues to fight in the Octagon. After 10 years plus of being the kingpin of the UFC light heavyweight division, Jones is planning on moving up to heavyweight later this year. Jones already has one of the best resumes you will ever see in the sport of mixed martial arts and he will be looking to add to it with his heavyweight run.

Jon Jones up to 255lbs in latest heavyweight weight update

UFC superstar Jon Jones said that he weighs 255lbs in his latest heavyweight weight update ahead of the potential Francis Ngannou superfight. Jones has been bulking up for the better part of the past year in preparation for a planned move up to the UFC heavyweight division. Though he fought his entire MMA career up to this point at 205lbs, Jones has apparently had no trouble putting on the weight as he steps up to the UFC’s heaviest weight division. In February, Jones posted a video of himself hitting pads with striking coach Mike Winkeljohn when he weighed in at 252lbs. Some fans felt that Jones looked slow at that weight, but he fired back saying he was still getting into shape. Then in March, Jones posted an update saying he was weighed in around 245lbs.

Coach Mike Winkeljohn suggested that the UFC should pay superstar Jon Jones $50 million for a Francis Ngannou superfight. Jones is currently involved in a financial dispute with the UFC related to a potential superfight against UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Jones recently took to his social media to reveal that he told the UFC that $8 to $10 million would be “way too low” for a fight against Ngannou. “Bones” is looking for the biggest payday of his career and for a fight against Ngannou that seems destined to do huge numbers, he wants more money.

In a series of tweets posted to his social media on Wednesday, Jones said that he told UFC executive Hunter Campbell that he wants more than $10 million dollars to fight Ngannou. In addition, Jones said that believes he’s been underpaid throughout his entire career and is hoping to finally get paid what he believes is right to take on Ngannou at heavyweight. Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier came to the defense of longtime rival Jon Jones, saying he is not scared of fighting Francis Ngannou. Ngannou knocked out Cormier’s other rival Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 260 this past weekend to capture the UFC heavyweight title. Following the fight, UFC president Dana White suggested that Jones should move down to 185lbs and that he’s scared of fighting Ngannou. Ever since then, Jones has taken to social media to vent his frustrations with the UFC and with White following his comments. Jones has gone on to say that he hopes that the UFC just releases him so that he can move on with his fighting career.

UFC superstar Jon Jones took to social media on Monday afternoon and asked the world’s leading MMA promotion to release him from his deal. Jones and the UFC are currently going head-to-head over a potential Francis Ngannou superfight. Jones announced last summer that he would be moving up to heavyweight in 2021, and UFC president Dana White teased that he would be next in line to fight the winner of Ngannou vs. Stipe Miocic at UFC 260, which turned out to be Ngannou. However, after the event was over, White insinuated that Jones was scared of moving up to heavyweight to fight Ngannou and instead suggested he move down to middleweight.
