Henry Cejudo is feeling rather confident in his new training partner. Ahead of her upcoming title fight rematch with Rose Namajunas, former champion Zhang Weili has taken her talents to the U.S. where she’s training in Scottsdale. Aiding “Magnum” at the Fight Ready team along the way is none other than the former dual-division titlist in Cejudo.

Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo called for the Nick Diaz vs. Robbie Lawler trilogy fight following their recent rematch at UFC 266. Diaz and Lawler met in a middleweight bout at UFC 266 last month, and Lawler won the fight in the third round by TKO. It was a rematch 17 years in the making after the two previously met at UFC 47 in 2004, with Diaz winning that fight via knockout. All these years later and these two rivals met again, but this time with Lawler getting the better of Diaz and getting the finish. It was a good fight for as long as it lasted, and UFC president Dana White praised Diaz for his performance in the fight. But at the end of the day, Diaz lost the fight via TKO and it’s unknown if he has any interest in fighting in the UFC again.

Deiveson Figueiredo revealed that he will train with Henry Cejudo ahead of his trilogy fight against UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno. Figueiredo takes on Moreno for the third time at UFC 269 in December with the 125lbs title on the line. Following a majority draw at UFC 256 last December, Figueiredo lost his belt when Moreno submitted him at UFC 263 back in June. Following the rematch, it was expected that Moreno was going to fight someone else, but the UFC eventually decided on the trilogy with Figueiredo after Alexandre Pantoja was not cleared to fight Moreno.

Henry Cejudo is confident he can finish UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, and he asked Dana White for a 145lbs title shot. Volkanovski defended his 145lbs belt against Brian Ortega this past weekend at UFC 266, and Cejudo has been going after the champ ever since on social media. In the past, Cejudo has made it known that he would be willing to move up to featherweight in a bid to become the first three-division champ in UFC history, but up until this point, he hasn’t moved up in weight. However, now that Volkanovski has defended his belt, Cejudo is now begging White to give him the opportunity to move up to featherweight and make history vs. the champ.

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson thanked former UFC champions Daniel Cormier and Henry Cejudo for their recent praise of him. Steveson won the gold medal in Tokyo this summer in men’s freestyle wrestling (125kgs division). Not only did Steveson dominate the tournament with his powerful wrestling skills, but he also became a bit of a media sensation because of his look and personality. There are a lot of people who now believe that Steveson should make the move to either MMA or to WWE. Both of them would be natural transitions for Steveson, who would be following in the footsteps of other former Olympians such as Cejudo and Cormier, among others.

Zhang Weili is changing things up ahead of her next fight. ESPN has confirmed with one of Zhang’s coaches, Pedro Jordao, that the first and only Chinese champion in UFC history will be doing things differently in her big rebound training camp.

Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo explained why wrestling stud Gable Steveson is a legitimate threat to beat Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou. Steveson won the Gold medal at the Olympics this summer in men’s freestyle wrestling in the 125kgs category. It was a phenomenal run by the Minnesota Golden Gophers product, who appears to have a bright future in sports regardless of what he does with the rest of his life. Following his big win at the Olympics, there have been rumors that Steveson will be pursued by both the WWE and the UFC. If you ask Cejudo, who is one of the most successful wrestlers-turned-MMA fighters in UFC history, Steveson would be a fantastic MMA fighter and he believes he could be a champion with a few years of training.

Former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov suggested that the next UFC opponent for Henry Cejudo must “bring some numbers” to the table. Nurmagomedov has been retired from MMA since earlier this year, and Cejudo has been retired since last summer. Both men hung up their gloves at the top of their games as both fighters were champions who vacated their titles before retiring from the sport. But with both men still in their 30s, there have been suggestions that the right fight could be enough to coax back either Nurmagomedov or Cejudo to the Octagon. Who that fight could be is anyone’s guess, but if the numbers are big enough, a comeback could be in store.

Henry Cejudo was not impressed by TJ Dillashaw’s split decision victory over Cory Sandhagen in tonight’s UFC Vegas 32 main event. Dillashaw (17-4 MMA) was returning to action this evening for the first time since January of 2019, where he suffered a knockout loss to the aforementioned Cejudo in his bid to become a two division UFC champion.

Henry Cejudo has slammed Dominick Cruz after the former bantamweight champ gave some advice to Conor McGregor. After McGregor suffered a TKO doctor stoppage loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 following his leg breaking, he was still trash-talking Poirier. However, for Cruz, he believes McGregor needs to just accept defeat.

McGregor and Poirier meet this Saturday night in the main event of UFC 264. It’s a huge fight between the bitter rivals, who are 1-1 all-time in their series. The winner of this third and final bout will hold all the cards, making this a very important fight for both men. With an impressive win this weekend, the winner of McGregor and Poirier seems destined to fight for the title their next time out against UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

For those of you who don’t know, Hasbulla, also known as “Mini Khabib”, went viral after as staredown between him and Adbu Rozik went viral over social media. The video gained worldwide recognition both for good and bad reasons with some finding it entertaining, and others insisting that such a fight shouldn’t be allowed to go ahead.

Henry Cejudo praised his former training partner Brandon Moreno after winning the UFC flyweight title from Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 263. Moreno finished Figueiredo in the third round with a rear-naked choke to become the new UFC flyweight champion. Following the event, Moreno ran into Cejudo backstage and the former UFC flyweight champ congratulated Moreno on his victory. The two were former training partners and Moreno even helped Cejudo prepare for his fights with Demetrious Johnson and Jussier Formiga. Cejudo was nothing but happy for his longtime friend.

Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo slammed boxing legend Floyd Mayweather for his performance against Logan Paul. Mayweather went the full eight-round distance with Paul on Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, during their special exhibition boxing match. It wasn’t the most exciting fight as there was a lot of hugging and Mayweather seemed to be almost playing with his food and carrying Paul instead of finishing him with punches. Indeed, Paul even admitted in his post-fight interview that he wondered if Mayweather carried him to the distance. Either way, it was far from the best performance we’ve seen from Mayweather, although it’s worth noting again that it was an exhibition fight that doesn’t really matter.

Cejudo (16-2 MMA) has often been critical of the original ‘champ champ’ in McGregor. Henry Cejudo was finally forced to bend the knee. On Wednesday the former two-division UFC champion took to Instagram to share some big news. Cejudo first revealed that he proposed to his girlfriend Ana Karolina when down in Sao Paulo, Brazil where the future bride’s family resides. Karolina said yes before Cejudo also shared that the pair are expecting a baby girl down the road.

Cejudo walked away from mixed martial arts last year in the prime of his career, with many wondering whether or not he’d ever return. The popular opinion is that he will at some point in the future but for the time being, Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan are the two top dogs in the incredibly stacked bantamweight division.

Henry Cejudo continues to troll Aljamain Sterling following the DQ we witnessed at UFC Vegas 25, saying that “The Funkmaster era is upon us.” In a women’s strawweight bout that took place on the prelims, Brazilian newcomer Luana Pinheiro was absolutely dominating veteran Randa Markos until being kicked in the face with an illegal upkick while she was grounded, leaving her unable to continue and seeing the fight called a DQ. Ironically, the referee in the fight was Mark Smith, who was the same referee in the Petr Yan vs. Sterling title fight back at UFC 259 in March. Just like at that event when he DQed Yan for an illegal knee, Smith DQed Markos for the illegal upkick.
