UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov drew high praise from former U.S. President Donald Trump after meeting at the UFC 302 pay-per-view. Nurmagomedov cornered UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev to a title win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 302. It was Makhachev’s third successful title defense after back-to-back wins over Alexander Volkanovski in 2023.

UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a moment with Donald Trump at UFC 302 last night. In the main event of UFC 302, Islam Makhachev defeated Dustin Poirier. He submitted him in the fifth and final round to retain his UFC lightweight championship. Of course, Islam’s achievement was incredible, but it was made even better by the fact that Khabib Nurmagomedov was there in his corner.

Last November, the Brazilian defeated ‘The Last Stylebender’  by knockout to claim UFC middleweight gold.

UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa has an interesting idea in mind for his return. ‘The Eraser’ has been out of action since his clash with Luke Rockhold last August. In that outing, the Brazilian put on a classic, going back and forth with the former champion for 15 minutes. At the end of the three rounds, Costa got the badly-needed win by unanimous decision.

We’re told Triller, the media company behind the event, is paying a fortune … millions and millions for his blow-by-blow analysis, though our sources would not be more specific.” (According to TMZ)

Trump has been involved with combat sports for years as he is often at UFC events and is close friends with Dana White. However, he is taking over boxing as Fite TV announced Trump will serve as a host and commentator for Holyfield vs. Belfort on Saturday in Florida.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan revealed his “very weird” encounter with former United States President Donald Trump at the recent UFC 264 event. Rogan was the analyst working the commentary desk alongside play-by-play man Jon Anik and former UFC champion Daniel Cormier. Because UFC 264 was such a big event featuring UFC superstar Conor McGregor and rival Dustin Poirier in the main event, a number of celebrities took in the event, including Trump, who was a personal guest of UFC president Dana White’s. Trump entered the building to a great effect, though the UFC production staff blew it and didn’t get his face on the television, which White called a big mistake.
