The main point of contention between the two men is that Canelo Alvarez has repeatedly shot down fighting UFC champion Kamaru Usman. Ali Abdelaziz, who represents ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’, has blasted the boxer for turning down the fight to box Dmitry Bivol.

Adam D Martin - November 7, 2021
Bellator fighter Dillon Danis was reportedly removed from Saturday’s UFC 268 event after being slapped by MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz. According to MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan, Danis and Abdelaziz met backstage at UFC 268, and apparently, Abdelaziz slapped Danis in the face, which was seen by several witnesses. However, even though it was Danis who was the one who was reportedly slapped in the face, it was actually Danis who was the one who was removed from the arena. Abdelaziz also declined to comment on what exactly happened between them.
Ali Abdelaziz believes Paulo Costa missed weight in order to get cut by the UFC
Adam D Martin - October 22, 2021
MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz believes that middleweight contender Paulo Costa missed weight in order to get cut by the UFC. Costa was scheduled to meet Marvin Vettori in a middleweight bout that headlines Saturday’s UFC Vegas 41 card, but the fight will no longer be taking place at 185lbs. Costa showed up to fight week off weight and the UFC was forced to move the fight up to 205lbs instead. The fight between Vettori and Costa will now take place on Saturday, with Costa being fined 20% of his purse due to the fight having to take place at 205lbs now.
Islam Makhachev is a "better version" of Khabib Nurmagomedov, says manager
Adam D Martin - October 17, 2021
Islam Makhachev is a “better version” of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, says his manager Ali Abdelaziz. Makhachev returns to the Octagon later this month at UFC 267 when he fights Dan Hooker in an important lightweight bout between two top-10 ranked fighters. Makhachev is 9-1 overall in the UFC and he is currently riding an eight-fight win streak and he’s looked dominant in all of his wins. It’s only natural that the comparison towards Nurmagomedov is made given that they are both Russian, both dominant grappling-based fighters, and both are represented by the same manager in terms of Abdelaziz. So the comparison is there.
Conor McGregor insults Dagestan with suggestions of inbreeding, sparks heated feud with Ali Abdelaziz: “When you die, I celebrate”
Adam D Martin - October 13, 2021
Conor McGregor insulted Dagestan with suggestions of inbreeding, sparking a heated feud with Ali Abdelaziz: “When you die, I celebrate.” McGregor and Abdelaziz have gotten into it on social media and in interviews before, so clearly there is no love lost between these two. McGregor, of course, was longtime rivals with Abdelaziz’s client Khabib Nurmagomedov. Even though “The Eagle” is retired from MMA these days, McGregor continues to take shots at him whenever he can. On Wednesday, McGregor fired a shot at Nurmagomedov and Abdelaziz replied back. That led to a bit of a flaming war between McGregor and Abdelaziz, as you can see below.

Adam D Martin - July 14, 2021
MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz sent a harrowing message out to Colby Covington, suggesting that “he’s gonna get what he asked for very violently.” Covington is the No. 1 contender in the UFC welterweight division and he is next expected to take on Abdelaziz’s client, UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, in a rematch. The two previously met at UFC 245 in December 2019, with Usman winning via fifth-round TKO. UFC president Dana White has said that was one of his favorite fights of all time and he has confirmed Covington is next in line for the title. “Chaos” wants the fight too, but as far as Abdelaziz goes, Covington is biting off more than he can chew against Usman.
Ali Abdelaziz trashes Conor McGregor for his post-fight antics at UFC 264: “Nobody wants to be the son of someone like him”
Harry Kettle - July 13, 2021
Ali Abdelaziz has taken a shot at Conor McGregor for his antics after losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Abdelaziz has been locked in a war of words with McGregor for years now, dating all the way back to when Conor went up against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. From that point on the pair haven’t been the best of friends and, to this day, Abdelaziz can’t help but throw shade at the Irishman – even when he isn’t directly involved.
Ali Abdelaziz says Kayla Harrison is "Ronda Rousey 6.0."
Adam D Martin - June 29, 2021
MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz says that his client, PFL women’s lightweight star Kayla Harrison, is “Ronda Rousey 6.0.” Harrison is currently running through the field in the PFL season three women’s lightweight tournament and looks to be one of the best female fighters in the sport right now. A former Olympic gold medalist in judo, Harrison’s MMA career has always — fairly or unfairly — been compared to Rousey’s since she was also an Olympic gold medal judoka before turning over to mixed martial arts. Since making the transition to MMA in 2018, Harrison is a perfect 10-0 in MMA with eight wins by stoppage. She has been dominating everyone in her weight class, and she doesn’t appear to be on the verge of losing any time soon.

Following the diss, Garbrandt’s manager Ali Abdelaziz took to his social media to respond to Paul and warn him that a whole stable of fighters at Dominance MMA will be ready to fight him.

Ali Abdelaziz says Colby Covington can earn a rematch with Kamaru Usman by defeating Leon Edwards
Harry Kettle - May 4, 2021

In the wake of Usman’s vicious knockout win over Jorge Masvidal, many fans have been convinced that another showdown with Covington is right around the corner. Their first fight, back at UFC 245, was contested over the UFC Welterweight Championship with “The Nigerian Nightmare” successfully defending his belt.
Ali Abdelaziz believes Jorge Masvidal should be thanking Kamaru Usman for allowing him to "get paid"
Cole Shelton - April 13, 2021
Ali Abdelaziz doesn’t think Jorge Masvidal should be calling Kamaru Usman a coward. After Masvidal lost a clear-cut decision to Usman at UFC 251 on short notice, he wanted a rematch right away. He knew he could beat Usman on a full camp and started to take shots at the champ and even called him a coward. Yet, for Abdelaziz, he doesn’t understand why “Gamebred” believes his client is a coward.

Ali Abdelaziz praised fighter-turned-coach Khabib Nurmagomedov, saying that “he’s one of the best coaches I’ve ever seen.” Nurmagomedov recently retired from mixed martial arts, leaving the competitive aspect of the sport with a pristine 29-0 record. Now that Nurmagomedov is no longer an active competitor, he is transitioning into coaching fighters. We have seen him in the corner at recent UFC and Bellator events, cornering fighters such as Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov, as he looks to succeed in this next stage of his career in combat sports.
