UFC star Israel Adesanya has hit back at Alex Pereira following a recent video the champion released in which he mocks him. At UFC 281 last November, Alex Pereira knocked out Israel Adesanya to become the new UFC middleweight champion. Unsurprisingly, the promotion opted to run it back with an immediate rematch.

UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira is getting some all-star assistance ahead of his return. ‘Poatan’ has been out of action since his clash with Israel Adesanya last November. While the bout was the first time the middleweights competed in the cage, they shared the kickboxing ring twice prior. In their two matchups, the Brazilian picked up the victory.

Vettori is currently 0-2 against Adesanya with the two having most recently fought back in June of 2021 with ‘The Last Stylebender’ winning a decision to defend his belt. Since then, Adesanya went on to lose his belt to Alex Pereira at UFC 281 and as the two are set to rematch at UFC 287, Vettori believes the Brazilian will once again get the better of Izzy.

The UFC will cap off a star-studded first quarter of fight action when the UFC middleweight champion, Alex Pereira, will put his newly-minted title at stake against Israel Adesanya in a highly-anticipated rematch at UFC 287. The bout and the rest of the action will take place Saturday, April 8, from Miami, Fla., as it’s the UFC’s first trip there since 2003. Former UFC welterweight title challengers will compete for a No 1 contender spot in the event’s co-headlining attraction, as Jorge Masvidal returns after a year layoff to face Gilbert Burns, who is coming off a first-round submission win against Neil Magny at UFC 283.
