If you thought Kevin Holland would be getting a ranked opponent after taking out Vicente Luque earlier this month, think again. Holland met Luque, a staple of the welterweight top-15, at UFC 316. He won the fight with a second-round anaconda choke—a finish so slick it earned him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

Kevin Holland has named one brash UFC welterweight who he wouldn’t mind mixing it up with. Holland competed on the UFC 316 card in Newark. He went one-on-one with fellow veteran Vicente Luque. Holland earned a “Performance of the Night” bonus thanks to his second-round submission finish.

The Octagon return to New Jersey for tonight’s UFC 316 pay-per-view event, and four fighters walked away with performance bonuses. The fight card was headlined by a men’s bantamweight title fight rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley. The bout proved to be another dominant performance for the reigning and still champion Merab Dvalishvili. ‘The Machine’ was able to connect with some good shots on the feet, this while imposing his wresting on ‘Suga’ throughout the course of their rematch. Eventually, in the third round, Merab locked up a north-south choke which forced Sean O’Malley to tapout. It was a very impressive performance from the Georgian, one that had many of his peers calling him the bantamweight goat.

Kevin Holland is excited to fight Vicente Luque at UFC 316 as he’s expecting a very fan-friendly fight. Holland is set to fight for the third time in 2025 when he takes on Luque in an intriguing welterweight fight. Holland is coming off a decision win over Gunnar Nelson to get back in the win column. Heading into this fight against Luque, Holland is expecting a striking battle and one that has a good chance to win Fight of the Night.

UFC fighter Kevin Holland has defended Jon Jones for reportedly wanting six months to prepare for a fight against Tom Aspinall. As we know, Jon Jones is the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion. We also know that Tom Aspinall is the interim heavyweight champion. Of course, it makes sense for the two to fight and unify the belts, but there’s one problem – Jon is in no hurry whatsoever to make this fight happen.

The Octagon returned to England for today’s UFC London event, and four fighters wound up taking home performance bonuses. The fight card was headlined by a key welterweight showdown featuring former champion Leon Edwards taking on rising contender Sean Brady. The bout proved to be a coming out party for Brady. The American was able to dominate Edwards throughout the entirety of the fight, using his strong grappling skills to smother and control the former welterweight champion. After controlling and battering ‘Rocky’ on the ground for fifteen minutes, Sean Brady promptly locked up a fight-ending guillotine choke early in round four to seal the impressive victory. With the win, the Philadelphia native is poised for a top contender bout next time out.

Today’s UFC London main card featured a highly anticipated welterweight bout between Kevin Holland and Gunnar Nelson. Holland (27-13 MMA) was returning to the welterweight division after suffering back-to-back stoppage losses to Reiner de Ridder (submission) and Roman Dolidze (TKO) at middleweight. ‘Trailblazer’ had gone just 1-4 over his previous five Octagon appearances.

Kevin Holland will reportedly meet Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. ‘Trailblazer’ has had a rough last few years. While still one of the most entertaining strikers in the UFC, Kevin Holland has lost four of his last five fights. After suffering losses to Jack Della Maddalena and Michael Page, he decided on a return to 185 pounds. In his first bout back at middleweight last June, he scored a submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk.

Holland remains in the middleweight division to face de Ridder on the main card of UFC 311. It’s an intriguing bout, but Holland is confident he will get his hand raised and likely finish the former ONE Championship champ.

Kevin Holland believes there’s a path for him to put the current UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad to sleep. Holland has competed at both welterweight and middleweight. He currently calls the 185-pound division his home. Despite being a middleweight at the moment, Holland admits that he believes Belal Muhammad would be an easier fight for him than the reigning 185-pound king Dricus du Plessis.

UFC middleweights Roman Dolidze and Kevin Holland allegedly got into it backstage about an hour after their clash at UFC 307. Dolidze defeated Holland by TKO (corner stoppage) on the UFC 307 main card last weekend in Salt Lake City. Holland suffered an abdominal injury just minutes into the fight, which ultimately led to his team throwing in the towel after Round 1’s conclusion.

Kevin Holland has responded to an online troll following his UFC 307 loss to Roman Dolidze. Holland lost to Dolidze by first-round stoppage this past Saturday night as his corner stopped the fight in between the first and second rounds. Holland hurt his rib during a scramble in the opening frame and his coach decided the fight shouldn’t continue.

Dolidze (14-3 MMA) will be competing for the first time since scoring a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Smith in a light heavyweight bout at June’s UFC 303 event. That victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The Caucasian’, who had previously dropped decision setbacks to Marvin Vettori and Nassourdine Imavov respectively.

Should Holland win, he could be in line for a big fight at 185lbs next time out. One potential opponent could be Israel Adesanya, however, ‘Trailblazer’ doesn’t have much interest in that fight.
