It’s no secret that UFC welterweight “Platinum” Mike Perry has dynamite in his hands. As it turns out, he’s previously put his explosive power to use outside the Octagon. In an early-morning Instagram post on Thursday, Perry shared a clip of himself bodying a fellow reveller outside a nightclub in Orlando. Ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury claimed that, if he won, he would “binge on cocaine and hookers” at his Las Vegas afterparty. While it’s unlikely that drugs and prostitutes actually factored into his plans, he certainly seems to have had a wild celebration for the fight, which he won by seventh-round TKO to claim the WBC heavyweight title. The new champ, who’s never been shy to show of his pipes on the mic, even got the whole crowd in attendance singing.

While there has been a lot of negative talk surrounding judging and officiating in combat sports recently, one referee changed the narrative with a heroic and selfless move in a recent Muay Thai bout. Over the weekend at a Muay Hardcore event, Nak Muay So Sovarathana landed a ferocious elbow which sent his opponent Naymar crashing towards the canvas. Referee Sittichai Ineiad used his own body to cushion the fall which could’ve left Naymar bouncing his head off of the canvas.

Famed MMA coach Trevor Wittman has developed a new MMA glove with the hopes of reducing the frequency of eye-pokes caused by most other gloves. These new gloves had their official debut on a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The gloves were introduced by former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans, who brought them along for his appearance on the UFC commentator and comedian’s show.

Conor McGregor got the win he sought at UFC 246, decimating his foe Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in just 40 seconds. After partaking in several customary interviews, the next item on the Irishman’s agenda was his official afterparty, which went down at the Encore Beach Club at the Wynn Las Vegas. MMA veteran Tara LaRosa took down and restrained a protester at a flag waiving gathering in Portland over the weekend. The protester was allegedly being aggressive with others at the event. The incident was captured on video by The Post Millennial reporter Andy Ngo, who also shared LaRosa’s account of what happened.

As Gastelum took to the scale and stripped down to his birthday suit — evidence of a tough cut — he appeared to lean on his coach, which would of course have an effect on how much weight he’s putting on the scale, and the number the scale displays.

Not longer after Brock Lesnar made quick work of former UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez at WWE Crown Jewel, another decorated combat sports champion took to the ring: lineal heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury. Fury was matched up with the hulking Braun Strowman, and despite taking some licks early, wound up winning in exciting fashion. The end came when he blasted Strowman out of the ring with a right hand and won via count out.
