UFC president Dana White shared his take on the current state of America, saying “I believe that this country is a f*cking mess right now.” White’s good friend Donald Trump finished up his stint as the president of the United States earlier this year and he was replaced in office by Joe Biden. It’s been a hard two years for everyone around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but according to White, the United States is in really bad shape right now, and he went on a rant in his recent interview with former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne (h/t Jed I. Goodman for quotes).

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping shared his theory as to why Conor McGregor has been lashing out as of late on social media. Bisping is one of the UFC’s top analysts, and one of the reasons he is one of the best is because he himself has lived the highs and lows of an MMA fighter’s life. For McGregor, while his entire career has arguably been a high point just because of how much money he’s made, but from a fighting point of view, he’s hit a low recently due to losing back-to-back fights to Dustin Poirier via TKO. The two losses have led McGregor to become angry and he has lashed out on social media as of late against Poirier and his other rivals.

Last Saturday night, Paddy Pimblett went toe to toe with Luigi Vendramini in what proved to be a pretty fascinating lightweight encounter. Vendramini was able to land some nice shots on the Scouser but in the end, “The Baddy” managed to come out on top with a devastating first round finish.

Trump has been involved with combat sports for years as he is often at UFC events and is close friends with Dana White. However, he is taking over boxing as Fite TV announced Trump will serve as a host and commentator for Holyfield vs. Belfort on Saturday in Florida.

Jorge Masvidal is open to fighting Nick Diaz if the fan-favorite gets past Robbie Lawler at UFC 266. Masvidal and Diaz were linked to a fight at UFC 235 but it never came to fruition. “Gamebred” then ended up facing Nate Diaz at UFC 244 where Masvidal scored a doctor stoppage TKO win. With that, Masvidal believes the storyline is there for a Nick Diaz fight and he says he is open to it.

Ryan Kavanaugh, the CEO of Triller Fight Club claims Mike Tyson is scared to fight Evander Holyfield. Tyson made his return to the ring under the Triller Fight Club Legends banner last November as he fought Roy Jones Jr. to a draw. Since then, Tyson has said he would be in the ring soon, but according to Kavanaugh, he claims Tyson doesn’t want to box Holyfield as he is scared to get knocked out.

UFC bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley responded after being dubbed a “bitch ass” in a recent interview with MMA On Point by promotional newcomer Paddy Pimblett. Pimblett exploded onto the UFC scene this past weekend when he knocked out Luigi Vendramini in what was an incredible promotional debut for the Brit. It was a fantastic comeback by Pimblett and it earned him a 50k bonus. Not only that, but tons of people are now talking about Pimblett and he is becoming a bit of a star for the UFC right now at a time when the promotion needs more of them. Of course, O’Malley is one of the biggest stars in the sport right now, and Pimblett recently had some harsh works to say about “Suga,” especially when he criticized O’Malley’s grappling skills in a recent interview.

UFC legend, future Hall of Famer, and current boxer Anderson Silva revealed his ideal timeline for his retirement from combat sports. Silva is now 46 years old but he isn’t letting Father Time stop him from still competing at a high level. Last fall, the UFC released Silva following a KO loss to Uriah Hall. While many fans and media wrote him off at that point, Silva decided to make the jump into the world of pro boxing, and back in June, he picked up an upset split decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. It was a good performance by Silva, and he now takes on former UFC champion Tito Ortiz next weekend in another pro boxing match, this time for the Triller Fight Club.

Till suffered a third-round submission loss to Brunson on Saturday in a fight the Englishman was the favorite to win. Following that, Paul took shots at him and many wondered if they would ever box one another, which Masvidal is open to.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping explained why fellow British-born MMA fighter Darren Till should move back down to welterweight. Till lost his second straight fight and suffered his fourth loss in his last five fights overall with a third-round rear-naked choke defeat to veteran Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 36. While Till did hurt Brunson at one point on the feet, he spent the majority of the fight on his back being controlled by Brunson and getting his face smashed in with ground and pound before the veteran sunk in the finishing choke in the third round. For Till, this was a tough loss that essentially shuts down any notion of him being a middleweight title contender anytime soon. Although he’s only 28, he needs to get back in the win column.

UFC and MMA stars Jorge Masvidal, Andrei Arlovski, and Junior Dos Santos crashed the latest AEW event with ATT owner Dan Lambert. Lambert, who founded and owns American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, has always been a huge pro wrestling fan, and ever since AEW was founded, he has become somewhat of a star himself for his tremendous mic skills. On Sunday night, Lambert was at the latest AEW event, and he brought with him three of ATT’s top fighters in Masvidal, the former BMF champ, and the former UFC heavyweight champions, Arlovski and Dos Santos. Although the fighters didn’t get a speaking role, they all received a nice introduction from Lambert a pop from the fans, with Masvidal getting the most cheers of any of the fighters.
