Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt makes his flyweight debut at tonight’s UFC 269 event opposite Kai Kara-France. Garbrandt (12-4 MMA) made the decision to test the waters at 125lbs following his unanimous decision loss to Rob Font back in May. That setback served as Cody’s fourth in his past five fights, with three of those defeats coming by way of knockout.

Cruz (24-3 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since March’s UFC 259 event, where he had scored a split decision victory over Casey Kenney. The win had snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The Dominator’, as Cruz had suffered previous setbacks to Henry Cejudo and Cody Garbrandt respectively.

Geoff Neal has run into some legal troubles ahead of his next fight. The 31-year old Neal was arrested on Thanksgiving this past week according to MMA Junkie who received Texas police reports. Per the documents filed by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Neal was arrested at 3:47 AM where he was found driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon. The UFC welterweight contender’s bond was set to $1,000 and he would be released at 8:08 PM on the Nov. 25 holiday.
