In the first five-round fight of his UFC career, Strickland used his jab to piece up Hall over the course of 25 minutes, while also mixing up power strikes and takedowns to seal the deal and pick up the biggest win of his career. With five straight victories, including a perfect 4-0 record in the UFC middleweight division, it is clear that Strickland is one of the best fighters in the world at his weight class, and he hopes to continue fighting bigger and better opponents. But for Strickland, what really makes him happy more than anything is just going in the Octagon and hurting people.

UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland reacted after defeating his “friend” Uriah Hall in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 33 card. Strickland utilized a beautiful jab for five rounds as he was able to outpoint Hall and take home a unanimous decision. Though Strickland wasn’t able to get the finish over his former training partner, he dominated the fight with his striking and grappling to earn a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards. It was the best performance of Strickland’s MMA career to date and by far the biggest win on his resume. By going in there and defeating a top-10 opponent in Hall, Strickland moves one step closer to the middleweight division’s elite.

The highly anticipated middleweight main event turned out to be a rather one sided affair. While Uriah Hall showed a ton of heart in fighting for the full twenty-five minutes, he had little to offer Strickland this evening. Instead, Sean Strickland shined in his first career UFC main event outpointing ‘Prime Time’ for the majority of their five-round contest on route to a unanimous decision victory.

The official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 33 took place on Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and we had a huge weight miss from Nicco Montano. Montano, who has struggled to make weight throughout her UFC career, came in at 143lbs for her women’s bantamweight bout against Wu Yanan. Montano has not fought in over two years and has had a string of fights scratched. The UFC has officially confirmed that this fight is off.

Chimaev hasn’t fought since last year when he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds due to a number of health issues. However, he is now ready to go and is set to make his return to the Octagon this fall, when he takes on top-15 ranked welterweight Li Jingliang in his comeback fight. Ahead of his return to the cage, Chimaev spent time at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas doing some training, and as part of his time there he got to spar with Strickland, who fights Uriah Hall this weekend in the headliner of UFC Vegas 33.

Earlier this week, O’Malley got a tattoo of the number ’69’ on his right shoulder, and it was tattooed by the rapper 6ix9ine himself. Although 6ix9ine is a popular rapper, he is extremely controversial for his past, which includes a felony count of use of a child in a sexual performance in 2015, in which he made sexual videos of a 13-year-olf girl. Then in 2019, he agreed to a plea deal for two years in prison after agreeing to testify against the Nine Trey gang members. In August 2020, 6ix9ine was released early from his prison term, and he is now a free man, though his checkered past still continues to haunt him.

Strickland, one of the top-15 ranked middleweights in the UFC, is currently training for his fight this summer against Uriah Hall. As part of his camp, he was working pummel drills with Sanchez, a BJJ world champion who attempted a standing armlock on Strickland. “Tarzan” was not happy about it and the video of him arguing with Sanchez went viral.

An exciting middleweight bout between top-15 ranked fighters Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will take place at the UFC 265 event this summer. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report the Hall vs. Strickland matchup, which will take place on August 7 at UFC 265. The event currently does not have the main event scheduled for it, but it does feature UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes against Julianna Pena. In addition, the card also features a pair of bantamweight bouts between Vince Morales and Drako Rodriguez, and Johnny Munoz and Jamey Simmons.

UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland issued a statement following win unanimous decision win over Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Vegas 25. Strickland has put together three straight wins ever since returning from a devastating motorcycle injury that nearly ended his career in 2018. Since returning to the Octagon in October 2020, Strickland has won three straight fights over Jack Marshman, Brendan Allen, and now against Jotko. The win over Jotko on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 25 was a terrific victory by “Tarzan” once again as he dominated the fight for the full 15 minutes.
