Two new UFC matchups were announced today including a light heavyweight bout between Johnny Walker and Jamahal Hill. The Walker vs. Hill matchup will take place at a UFC Fight Night event on February 19th according to MMAFighting.

Din Thomas, Tyron Woodley’s coach is praising him for being a good sport after losing to Jake Paul on December 18th in Tampa, Florida. ‘The Chosen One’ was knocked out cold in the sixth round, with Jake Paul extending his winning record to a perfect 5-0. It was Woodley’s second encounter with Jake Paul, the first ending in a split decision to ‘The Problem Child’ in August 2021. It’s also worth noting that this marked Woodley’s sixth straight loss in combat sports.
CM Punk names Japanese legend as his MMA GOAT

CM Punk has named Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba as his MMA Goat. Sakuraba, the 52 year old Japanese fighter began his career as a professional wrestler for UWF International before joining MMA. His list of accomplishments include winning the UFC Japan heavyweight tournament in 1997, as well as many others too long to list, and he was ultimately inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2017.

UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has created a poll to see who fans want to see him fight next, Conor McGregor or Justin Gaethje. Oliveira (32-8 MMA) successfully defended his 155lbs title for the first time last month at UFC 269 when he submitted Dustin Poirier with a rear-naked choke in round three (see that here).

The court case was originally dismissed in 2019, however the appeals court decided to reopen the cases on fraud and battery in September of 2021.
