Francis Ngannou is expecting a war against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. In the lead-up to the UFC 270 heavyweight title unification bout, Ngannou and Gane have taken shots at one another over their past training sessions. Both men claim they knocked down the other in sparring and given Ngannou’s feud with Gane’s coach, which is his ex-coach Fernande Lopez, it seemed as though Francis and Ciryl did not have much respect for one another.

In the fight against Bontorin, it was a back-and-forth fight but in the third round, Royval had Bontorin in an armbar it appeared the Brazilian tapped.

Colby Covington has violent intentions for Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. In the main event of UFC 272 on March 5, Covington and Masvidal will settle their differences in a highly-anticipated bout. They are former roommates and best friends that even cornered one another, but they had a massive falling out and now do not like one another. After years of trash-talking one another, they will finally fight and Covington says he will put Masvidal in the hospital.

Hunt, former title contender called out White and his associates for a three vs. one matchup, thereby settling his legal battles in an MMA bout.

In an appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’, Jorge Masvidal reacted to the news that UFC star Amanda Nunes has left American Top Team: “To see her progress is amazing. To see her progress under American Top Team, my same gym, it’s like wow! I never worked out with her or sparred or anything but to some extent, the journey that she had was like shared with me. It just definitely hurts not to have her there I think.” Masvidal said (h/t WMMARankings). “But man, I’m just always wishing the best for her. She’s going to do her own thing….Obviously, it hurts and obviously, I want her to stay at American Top Team and I think we all do, we all love her. So it’s like a… It’s a devastating blow.”

UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane has denied that he was knocked out by rival Francis Ngannou in a previous training session. With UFC 270 being just over 24 hours away, it’s no surprise to see that the tension is really beginning to build between main eventers Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. Both men would ideally prefer to focus their energy on the fight itself but with there being so many outside circumstances to consider, it’s near enough impossible for them not to get drawn into the chaos.

His last fight came with a bit of controversy. Andres made weight, however, his opponent missed, “there was a mixup on the tape and they had his stats listed under me and my stats listed under him.” Although he did get the win in a dominate performance Andres believes if he would have gotten the finish there would have been no questions asked. “I always look to finish and I believe if i would have finished him i’d be in the UFC.”

Matt Frevola is planning to remind the world just how good he is at UFC 270. Frevola had a rough 2021 as he went 0-2, losing a decision to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 257 and suffering a seven-second KO loss to Terrance McKinney at UFC 263. However, he fought Tsarukyan on a days’ notice and took the McKinney fight on a couple of days’ notice as well.

Tom Aspinall will be headlining UFC London but it won’t be against his original opponent. According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Aspinall was originally supposed to fight Shamil Abdurakhimov. However, Shamil was pulled from the fight and the Brit will now face Alexander Volkov instead.

Paddy Pimblett will not be fighting Jared Gordon after all. On Tuesday, Dana White revealed on The Dave Portnoy Show on Barstool, Pimblett was going to return at UFC London on March 19 against Jared Gordon. However, both managers claimed that was not true.

Kay Hansen was supposed to fight on January 15, but after hearing UFC 270 was the week after in Anaheim, she made it clear she wanted to be on that card. Hansen is from Anaheim and of course wanted to be a part of the card but her managers initial request to have the bout moved didn’t happen. However, she decided to take matters into her own hands and messaged Dana White herself to move the fight, and just a day later she got her wish.

In the co-main event of UFC 270, the flyweight title is on the line as Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo have their trilogy. Heading into the fight, Moreno is a -180 favorite while the Brazilian is a +155 underdog. Ahead of the fight, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to get their prediction for the scrap. The pros are unanimous in thinking Moreno beats Figueiredo for the second straight time to defend his belt.
