Tonight’s UFC 271 event features a key middleweight bout between perennial division contenders Derek Brunson and Jared Cannonier. Brunson (23-7 MMA) will enter the contest sporting a five-fight winning streak, his latest being a submission victory over Darren Till. The 38-year-old has not tasted defeat since being TKO’d by reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in November of 2018.

Nate Diaz, one of the most popular fighters in UFC history, plans to hang up his gloves after fighting Dustin Poirier. Diaz (20-13 MMA) has not competed since UFC 263, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards in a welterweight bout. The Stockton native nearly finished the British fighter in round five of that contest, but wound up being handed the loss after being badly outpointed in the first four rounds.

Jake Paul has slammed ESPN and Disney for pulling Joe Rogan from UFC 271, this while standing behind Dana White. On Friday, news broke that Rogan would not be part of Saturday’s broadcast due to a scheduling conflict. The popular podcast host will now be replaced by Michael Bisping, who will call tonight’s fights alongside Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier.
Sean O’Malley trolls Marlon Vera for main event request, ‘Chito’ issues scathing response

Sean O’Malley has taken a shot at Marlon Vera for requesting to be a main event. After it was reported that Rafael dos Anjos that Rafael Fiziev was off UFC Vegas 48 next Saturday, Vera made it clear he would take a main event fight on a weeks’ notice. However, the promotion decided to bump Johnny Walker vs. Jamahal Hill to the main event but even with that, “Suga” took a shot at Vera.

Ray Borg believes it’s only a matter of time until he fights in the UFC again. Borg fought in the UFC from 2014 to 2020 and went 7-5 including fighting Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight belt. However, Borg struggled to make it to the scale due to his son needing brain surgery which impacted his weight cuts. With that, the UFC released him for constantly pulling out of fights. He later announced his retirement but decided to end that shortly thereafter.

Kamaru Usman, 34, UFC Welterweight Champion has confirmed he will be in attendance at UFC 272 on March 5th, 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Usman, (20-1 MMA) will have his eye on rivals Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington who are set to square off in the welterweight main event.

Sean O’Malley has taken to Instagram to share his predictions for the main card fights at UFC 271 tomorrow night, February 12th in Houston, Texas. Israel Adesanya (21-1 MMA) vs. Robert Whittaker (24-5 MMA) is featured at the UFC 271 main event and is perhaps one of the most anticipated rematches in recent memory. Whittaker, will try to take back the belt Adesanya won from him in October 2019 at UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia. Whittaker lost by KO in the 2nd round at UFC 243 and seeks to change history this weekend by defeating ‘The Last Stylebender‘.

Valieva, 15, helped the ROC to glory in the team event at the Winter Olympics earlier this week. However, while the Russian Olympic Committee may have been celebrating, the medals were not formally awarded as a result of a legal issue – which has now been confirmed to be the aforementioned drug test failure.
