After filming a podcast with Menery and the Nelk Boys, Covington went out for dinner with them. At the end of the dinner, as they were leaving about to go to a club, Menery was standing with Covington when he says Masvidal and one other person came up and punched ‘Chaos’ and then immediately fled the scene.

Brendan Schaub is not a fan of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s idea for UFC welterweights to boycott Colby Covington. ‘Chaos’ last fought Jorge Masvidal in the main event of UFC 272 earlier this month. While he won the fight in the cage, they had another altercation outside of it weeks later. ‘Gamebred’ reportedly saw Covington at the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami. He then allegedly sucker-punched him, and now is facing felony charges.

One of the heavyweight greats might be hanging up the gloves. PFL’s Fabricio Werdum has announced he’s likely retired. The former UFC heavyweight champion headed over to PFL in 2020. He wound up only having one bout in the promotion’s 2021 season due to injury. That sole fight was a no-contest with Renan Ferreria, originally a loss that was overturned due to a missed tap.

Brendan Schaub has weighed in on the latest accusations made against Chael Sonnen. It was back in December of 2021 when news broke that ‘The American Gangster’ had been slapped with five misdemeanor battery charges after allegedly being part of a hotel brawl. The citations were subsequently dropped without prejudice but a new lawsuit was filed on March 25 in Clark County (Nevada) District Court.

UFC 275 set for June in Singapore with two titles on the line

Jones (26-1 MMA) last fought back in February of 2020 at UFC 247, where he defeated Dominick Reyes (12-3 MMA), defending the light heavyweight title for the 13th time. Jon Jones defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46).

As per his manager, BKFC middleweight champion Thiago Alves is hoping to defend his belt against Mike Perry in June. While he may be known by many for his run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Thiago Alves has had a solid start to life in bare-knuckle boxing. After defeating Julian Lane via split decision in September 2020, Alves proceeded to beat Ulysses Diaz due to a doctor stoppage last summer to become the inaugural middleweight title holder in BKFC.
