The UFC has started to fill out its May 13 event with two fights being added including the return of Mackenzie Dern. According to MMAJunkie, Dern is set to face Angela Hill at strawweight on May 13 at a location TBD. Later, it was reported by Mani Mayer that Karolina Kowalkiewicz will face Vanessa Demopoulos on that same May 13 event. The location of the card has not been announced, but the main event will see Anthony Smith take on Johnny walker.

The UFC has parted ways with another four fighters according to recent reports from @UFCRosterWatch on ‘Twitter’. It should also be noted that it has not been confirmed if all of these moves were outright releases or simply contracts which were not renewed.

Former Bellator champion Brent Primus is heading to the lightweight Grand Prix. The 37-year-old has been out of action since a unanimous decision defeat to Alexander Shabliy last June. That defeat was a brutal one for Primus, as it sent any title shot plans down the drain for the former titleholder. It also helped keep him out of the upcoming lightweight Grand Prix.

Henry Cejudo isn’t sold that his UFC 288 title fight against Aljamain Sterling on May 6 will happen. Cejudo and Sterling have been linked to a fight since UFC 284 in February and at one point were slated to compete in April at UFC 287. Most recently, ‘Funkmaster’ announced that the fight was officially set for May 6, however Cejudo wonders if Sterling will actually make the walk to the Octagon as he believes the bantamweight champ is afraid of him.

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones is hopeful he’ll soon have two wins over Daniel Cormier. ‘Bones’ and ‘DC’ had one of the more high-profile rivalries in MMA history. The two shared the octagon on two occasions, and also had a fight outside the cage as well. Their first meeting came at UFC 182 in January 2015, with Jones coming out on top by a unanimous decision.

The UFC tried out many pairings before settling on a combination of Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan in 2002. They stuck with the duo until 2016, and have used a rotating trio in the booth since then.

Jones and Cormier fought twice in the UFC, which resulted in one of the greatest rivalries in the promotion’s history. Despite years of bad blood, the longtime rivals have been civil in their most recent interactions online.

Tyron Woodley isn’t ruling out fighting in the UFC again. Woodley is the former UFC welterweight champion and fought in the promotion from 2013 to 2021. He went 9-6-1 in the Octagon and defended his title three times. However, after having some disputes with Dana White and losing four straight fights, he was ultimately released from the UFC.

Khamzat Chimaev has ended his fight camp preparations for Ramadan. Chimaev (12-0 MMA) last fought in September of 2022 at UFC 279 where he defeated Kevin Holland (23-9 MMA) via submission. The Swedish born 28-year-old has yet to lose a fight in the Octagon.

This past Saturday, in the UFC Vegas 69 main event, Jessica Andrade suffered a second-round submission loss to the rising Erin Blanchfield. Andrade revealed she was embarrassed following the defeat, but not with her performance as such, but due to a wardrobe malfunction during the bout. As of late, Andrade was starting to show why she was a former champion. Prior to Saturday past, she was riding a three-fight win streak, with dominant showings over Cynthia Calvillo, Amanda Lemos, and more recently, Lauren Murphy at UFC 283 in Brazil.

Fighters are reacting after new footage shows that Diego Sanchez has a legitimate gripe with cheating accusations made against Austin Trout. The recent ‘BKFC KnuckleMania 3’ which took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico last Friday, February 17th, saw Austin Trout defeat Diego Sanchez by a fourth round TKO.

Ngannou later hinted at a move to the boxing ring, with a return tentatively set for July.
