On Saturday night, Aljamain Sterling once again proved that he belongs. He retained his UFC bantamweight championship with a split decision triumph over Henry Cejudo. However, while it was another big win to add to his resume, ‘Funk Master’ still has a lot of critics out there.

Cejudo challenged Aljamain Sterling for UFC Bantamweight Championship this past Saturday night (May 6). “Triple C” was hoping to reclaim the 135-pound title, as he was never defeated for the gold during his first run. This one was a back-and-forth affair that lasted the full 25 minutes. The 48-47 score total by Michael Bell, which favored Cejudo, was overruled by the 48-47 scores from judges Derek Clearly and Eric Colon in favor of Sterling.

UFC fighter Tony Ferguson arrested for DUI after vehicle crashes into two cars

Former interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson has been busted for DUI following a multi-vehicle crash. “El Cucuy’s” pickup truck crashed into two parked cars outside of a nightclub in Hollywood. The truck rolled over, and there were two people inside the vehicle who had to be pulled out by the fire department.

The highly anticipated bantamweight title fight went the full twenty-five minutes. Aljamain Sterling appears to get the better of Henry Cejudo in the opening round, but ‘Triple C’ came back and made things competitive in round two. However, ‘Funkmaster’ appeared to pull away in rounds three and four, leaving many fans believing Cejudo needed a finish in the fifth and final round. Although the former champ got the better of Sterling in the final five minutes, it was not enough to sway the judges in his favor.
