Justin Gaethje entered the Octagon on a two-fight winning streak. He defeated James Vick with a sensational first-round knockout and secured a first-round victory in his subsequent -fights have earned him a reputation as a ‘first-round finisher’. Before beating James Vick at UFC Lincoln, Gaethje lost to worthy opponents, Dustin Poirier and Eddie Alverez. They were the first two losses of his professional career.

That victory extended Glover’s current win streak to two in a row, as he had previously defeated Karl Roberson this past January.

The former TUF standout, Hall, has gone 5-5 over his past ten Octagon appearances.

Misha Cirkunov (15-5 MMA) will return to the Octagon for the first time since suffering a brutal first round knockout loss to Johnny Walker this past March at UFC 235. After starting his UFC career 4-0, the Canadian has since gone just 1-3 over his past four fights.

For Till, the stakes are high for this one. With Gastelum being ranked fourth, a win would put him in the top-five of the middleweight division. Yet, the Englishman doesn’t believe a win here should get him a title shot as there are other fighters who deserve it more.

BMF, for those unaware, stands for “bad motherf**ker.” If that term sounds familiar, it could be because it’s been associated with lightweight action-fighter Donald Cerrone for some time. He even calls his New Mexico MMA compound the BMF Ranch. While you might expect Cerrone to be a little disgruntled about having this term commandeered, he’s actually not too bothered.

Donald Cerrone believes a win over Justin Gaethje will give him a big push in the direction of a lightweight title shot. One fighter who could conceivably cut ahead of Cerrone in line, however, is Conor McGregor. Speaking at a scrum ahead of his fight with Gaethje, Cerrone was asked if he was worried about McGregor returning and jumping the contendership lineup. He responded by expressing doubt that McGregor, who he was briefly expected to fight earlier this year, will ever even fight again.

The former UFC featherweight champion was released from the Las Vegas-based promotion after her UFC 240 bout — partly due to her crumbling relationship with UFC President Dana White. Cris Cyborg talked to many promotions when her free agency began, but she always knew she would land with Bellator.

At UFC 242, “The Eagle” once again delivered a dominant performance, this time against the lightweight interim champion, Dustin Poirier. He submitted Poirier during the third round. This huge win was celebrated by Russian fans who tuned in to watch the action on Saturday night.

According to Bellator fighter Michael Page, being a black fighter is less lucrative than being white. “I genuinely feel if I was a white fighter with the same talents, I would have more support and money,” Page said in an interview with Metro.

Jorge Masvidal has revealed the start of his beef with longtime best friend, Colby Covington. “Gamebred” says their friendship came to a halt shortly after Covington won the interim title after beating Rafael dos Anjos. Jorge Masvidal says after that UFC 225 title fight, “Chaos” never paid one of his coaches that helped prepare Covington for the fight.

Dustin Poirier has had nearly a week to process his tough, submission loss to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242, and he seems to be finding a silver lining in the experience. From the sounds of it, he’s treating this loss to the champ as a lesson, and hopes it’ll make him stronger. Poirier even thanked Nurmagomedov for the experience.
