UFC fans always wanted to see a superfight between Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva, but it’s a fight that never happened. With GSP now retired and Silva nearing the end of his own Hall of Fame career, the chances of ever seeing the fight are slim to none. However, on Saturday both men were in Las Vegas promoting Limitless, a new line of health and fitness products, and it was a rare chance for both of them to square off.

UFC lightweight star Justin Gaethje continued to rack up the bonus money, winning a Performance of the Night award for his TKO win over Donald Cerrone at UFC Vancouver. The promotion announced the winners of the $50,000 bonus awards after the event had concluded. Gaethje won one of the Performance of the Night bonuses for defeating Cerrone in stunning fashion. The other POTN bonus went to Misha Cirkunov, who submitted Jimmy Crute with a rare Peruvian necktie submission to kick off the main card.

Eddie Alvarez said that he believes Justin Gaethje is the most exciting fighter in the UFC and he wants to see his former opponent get paid more. Alvarez and Gaethje fought each other in an absolute war back at UFC 218 in December 2017. At the time, Gaethje was an undefeated rising star while Alvarez was looking to bounce back into title contention. It was a fight for the ages, with Alvarez eventually winning via third-round KO (knee), handing Gaethje his first career loss.

On November 2, in the main event of UFC 244 in New York City, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will battle for the newly conceived BMF title. BMF, for those unaware, stands for “bad motherf**ker.” If that term sounds familiar, it could be because it’s been associated with lightweight action-fighter Donald Cerrone for some time. He even calls his New Mexico MMA compound the BMF Ranch. While you might expect Cerrone to be a little disgruntled about having this term commandeered, he’s actually not too bothered.

Earlier this year, Kevin Lee announced his intention to move from the lightweight division to the welterweight division. His time in this heavier division did not last long. After tapping to a Rafael dos Anjos choke in his welterweight debut at UFC Rochester in May, Lee is now headed back down to lightweight.
