Prior to his dominant submission victory over Dan Hooker in the headliner of last weekend’s UFC Qatar event, Tsarukyan had made it clear that he wanted to make a quick turnaround and challenge Ilia Topuria for the title in January.

Among them was the news that Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett will collide in the main event of UFC 324. The interim UFC Lightweight Championship will be at stake.

Nowadays, as a veteran in mixed martial arts, it’s not quite clear as to what will be next for him.

Almost nobody believes Jake Paul can defeat Anthony Joshua when they box live on Netflix on December 19. There is at least one notable member of the combat sports community who is backing Paul, though. That would be Nate Diaz — and he’s putting his money where his mouth is. Speaking on the social media platform X this week, Diaz revealed that he has placed a $20,000 wager on Paul to win. Given how big of an underdog Paul is, Diaz stands to win $142,000 if he’s right.

So, it’s safe to say he’s vaulted himself up the ladder of relevancy in the heavyweight division.
