USADA announces major changes to UFC anti-doping policy

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has announced sweeping changes to the UFC’s anti-doping policy. These changes were announced in a Monday press release, which can be read below: The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and the UFC® today announced changes to the UFC Anti-Doping Policy. The policy changes are designed to ensure intentional cheaters are deterred and held accountable in the event they choose to dope while also being fair and just on those athletes who innocently test positive for a prohibited substance and gain no performance advantage.

Andre Fili vs. Sodiq Yusuff booked for early 2020 UFC event

A featherweight bout between the always exciting Andre Fili and top prospect Sodiq Yusuff has been booked for an early 2020 UFC event. MMAjunkie.com reported that Fili vs. Yusuff is the latest addition to the January 18 card that is supposed to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, as reported earlier today, there is now growing concern that the card won’t be named UFC 246 and won’t have Conor McGregor headlining it. Either way, Fili is still expected to fight Yusuff sometime in early 2020.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya fired back at UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, calling him a “noob” for insinuating he is “pathetic.” Adesanya and Jones have been going back-and-forth on social media for the last few months and it ramped up after Adesanya defeated Robert Whittaker back at UFC 243 to win the middleweight belt. Nearly every day it seems like Adesanya and Jones are talking trash to each other, and the fun and games didn’t stop this weekend.

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is set to make his bantamweight debut next month at UFC 245, and pictures from his training camp are emerging. Aldo announced recently that he will be dropping down to 135lbs for the first time in his career when he takes on fellow Brazilian Marlon Moraes at UFC 245 on December 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a huge opportunity for Aldo against a former title challenger in Moraes, and if he wins this fight he would immediately jump into title contender for UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo’s belt.

Michael Bisping scoffs at Ben Askren retiring over a hip replacement

The former UFC middleweight champion discussed Askren’s recently announced retirement on his most recent edition of the ‘Believe You Me’ podcast where he insinuated that hip replacement is not career-ending surgery, unless you want it to be.
