Jorge Masvidal knows he and Nate Diaz will eventually rematch. At UFC 244 in November of 2019, Masvidal and Diaz fought for the BMF title in a highly-anticipated bout. Early on, “Gamebred” was landing heavy shots and even dropped Diaz with a kick. As the fight wore on, Masvidal kept on the pressure and after the third round, the doctor stopped the fight due to a cut above Diaz’s eye.

UFC welterweight superstar Nate Diaz says that he can see, hear and feel the hate following the announcement of the Leon Edwards booking. Diaz hasn’t fought since November 2019 when he lost via TKO (doctor stoppage) to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244. We haven’t heard much of the Stockton native lately, but then last week the UFC made the surprising announcement that he will be fighting Edwards in the co-main event of UFC 262 on May 15 in Houston, Texas. This will be the first time in UFC history that a non-title, co-main event is set for five rounds, and it’s an indication that the winner of Diaz vs. Edwards will be next in line to fight for the UFC welterweight title.

The UFC announced this week that Edwards vs. Diaz will take place on May 15 in Houston, Texas. In a UFC first, the fight will be a five-round co-main event, with the winner surely being in the mix to fight the winner of the UFC 261 main event between Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman. With Edwards vs. Diaz now official, “Rocky” took to his social media over the last couple of days to share his initial reactions to what is arguably the biggest fight of his career to date. UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz clapped back at promotional superstar Conor McGregor, telling him to “try not to get finished again.” It was revealed on Tuesday evening that Diaz will be returning to the UFC on May 15 at UFC 262 in Houston, Texas when he takes on Leon Edwards in a No. 1 contender fight in the UFC welterweight division. On Wednesday, McGregor took to his social media to suggest that the promotion creates a “McGregor belt” for his upcoming trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July, clearly a jab at the “BMF belt” that Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fought for at UFC 244 in November 2019. That, in turn, led to Diaz taking to his social media and clapping back at McGregor and poking fun at him for getting finished.

Nate Diaz has blasted both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. After Poirier knocked McGregor out in the main event of UFC 257 in January, talks of a trilogy immediately began to circulate. Recently, Dana White confirmed the trilogy would happen and it would take place in the summer. For Diaz, he is not a fan of that as he blasted both of them for only wanting to fight each other.

Diaz and Masvidal squared off at UFC 244 in November 2019 which, to this day, is the last time Diaz fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Masvidal, on the other hand, has only fought once since then when he failed to capture the UFC Welterweight Championship from Kamaru Usman.
