UFC fighter Mike Perry has lashed out at J’Leon Love for suggesting that he could be about to lose his place on the UFC roster. Perry is in the midst of a notable skid in his UFC run, going 3-7 in his last 10 fights including two back-to-back defeats. In addition to that, Perry has also been embroiled in the Jake Paul-MMA saga after his recent sparring session with the YouTuber turned pro boxer.

Super middleweight boxer J’Leon Love has responded to a recent callout from UFC welterweight fighter Mike Perry. Love and Perry crossed paths a few weeks ago in Florida, when ‘Platinum’ came to spar with J’Leon’s buddy Jake Paul. News of the Paul-Perry sparring session was not made public until former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier suggested that the infamous YouTuber fight Mike Perry in his next boxing match.

UFC welterweight Mike Perry has shared some footage of his sparring session with Jake Paul after the YouTube sensation dubbed him “light work”. Paul (3-0) returned to the squared circle yesterday evening in Atlanta for a scheduled eight-round boxing match with former mixed martial arts champion Ben Askren (19-2 MMA).

UFC welterweight fan favorite Mike Perry admitted that Jake Paul caught him with some good shots when they recently had a sparring session. On Sunday, UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier took to his social media to say that he hoped that Paul would fight Perry next. Paul then responded to Poirier as he posted a video of him and Perry doing some sparring, with “Platinum” being heard telling Jake that he kicked his ass during their session. The two have done some sparring in preparation for this fight but typically, you don’t tell the public what happened in those sparring sessions. In this case, Paul posted the video with the words coming out of Perry’s mouth, so it was hard for “Platinum” to deny that it happened. Instead, Perry embraced what Paul had tweeted.

UFC welterweight Mike Perry scoffed at the boxing advice given by Twitter users after suggesting he wants to improve that part of his game. Perry lost a lopsided unanimous decision to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 23 last week. “Platinum” was jabbed up the entire fight and, although he did score some takedowns, took a ton of damage on the feet and wasn’t able to fire much back in return. With the loss, Perry has now dropped four of his last five fights. While Perry started off his UFC career five years ago knocking everyone out and becoming a fan favorite, he has really struggled as of late. At this point, you have to wonder what’s next for Perry. He likely will get another fight in the UFC due to being a fan favorite, but it would be a must-win fight if it happens.

Mike Perry has laughed off the idea that Darren Till genuinely wanted to provide him with MMA training and accommodation in England. Last weekend, Perry fell to a unanimous decision defeat against Daniel Rodriguez that dropped his recent record to 3-7. It was his fourth loss in his last five fights and while there are many people who believe he still has what it takes to be an elite MMA star, others feel as if now is the time for the UFC to cut their ties with him.

Legendary women’s martial artist Kathy Long praised her pupil Daniel Rodriguez ahead of his fight against Mike Perry at UFC Vegas 23. Long is a pioneer in the world of mixed martial arts. She was part of the commentary team at UFC 1, which shows you how long she truly has been in the game for. She was doing mixed martial arts before it was cool, getting black belts in Aikido and in Kung Fu San Soo in the 1980s before making the move to kickboxing in the 1990s, where she became one of the best women’s kickboxers of all time. In 1991, she was inducted into the Black Belt magazine “Hall of Fame.” She also boxed, learned Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and made her MMA debut at age 45. She won that fight and then in 2015 in Mexico she won another MMA fight at age 51. In addition, she was in a number of movies including “Batman Returns” as the stunt double for Michelle Pfeiffer and she was also in Oliver Stone’s “Natural Born Killers.”
